adjustable control arms help?
the previous owner of my zed had new kyb shocks all round, drift spec tension rods and adjustable control arms. all has been good drivers is fine. Passnger side is the issue. i have noticed a few things. 1. The front arch liner has been worn when on full lock to the right by the tyre, and slightly sliced the expansion bottle, causing slight water loss also the same on the front rear liner. 2. looking at the control arm is seems to have been put in the same as the drivers side???? is this right?? I know the zed had a front end crunch on the pass side, but had been repaired at zedworld, i think. Has anyone any pics of the passenger side control arms fitted, so i can fit them properly, before i get a full alignment done

what do I need for 15psi safely?
Hats of to you Vods and Bullit. If your going to do it, do it properly. The state of that rod mark. Im running 14psi on stock internals, its plenty quick enough, but agree it must have something to do with engine condition.

brake light on
stupid answer mate, are you brake bulbs good. mine were ok when braking but the element for when lights were on had gone, caused the brake light on dash to light up.

rolling road session
we have had a few meets at surrey rolling road, ive dyno'd mine twice, scary to watch your car being tested, but all was good, found a few probs that i didnt know about. If your zed is running well then i say go for it, On my last only made 267 at the wheels, with a faulty det sensor 2 x faulty o2 sensors, and a couple of injectors letting go. Need to get a new dyno done, since then have all new injectors, new 02 sensors and new det sensor, full decat japspeed, tubs sorted, throtttles cleaned, lots of new stuff. running boost jets. the zed is a different animal since the work.

miles
mine is right up there 132k miles now was a 110k when i got it. Engine is in perfect order, stills pulls like a madman, starts first time as it always has. Dosent use or loose oil or water. can quite happily sit in traffic. Gets a good service with decent oil, and filter every 4 months ish, and fuel injector clean in every 3rd tank. Dam fine example for a UK TT,and im the 11th owner. only issue is the slight rust on the sills im dealing with, :cool2:

Dyeing Fairlady Mats
dont know about dying them, but could be done. I have a complete set, were really dirty at first, then hit them with a pressure washer and carpet cleaner, took a few goes, look like new. Dont hang on washing line unless its well secured, ripped mine of the wall.

any idea how many zeds are still rolling
i know of 10 local cars to me. within a 5 mile radius, 4 of which are UK TT's, all are working apart from the spare jap one i have. out of the 10, 4 are members on here, the one im having trouble, is a guy i met at a show last year who informed me he has a true 99 spec from new, very very low miles. bought it when he lived in Japan and bought it over. ive seen it driven past once, but lost his number.......... Nice to know on the working ones ive hepled out keeping them going in some way or another..............

No idea how much i missed the zed
At end of July i sorned my zed , due to one thing and another, holiday, last few bills and starting the going smooth work on the zed. Every other day i have been starting the zed up, on my drive, nice to hear the rumble. Also continued washing and keeping it clean. But have been putting a bit aside each month. At the weekend. got new tax, first stop a full tank of go go juice, then over to get a price for new sills, remove high level spolier, and skirts and front end. only to be replaced with 99 spec ront and rear, and a blow over. Over to see Atlast and help do his air ducts and a few other bits. She is running 100% spot on, no issues or anything. Still as quick if not quicker. Wasted loads of fuel, and depth of tires. Its brutal when in full boost, but a pure joy to drive. Starts, drives and stops as it should. I can honestly say my zed is the best and most fun car i have ever driven........ Love em..................:clap:
