  1. Sorry to type this way guys and girls, but i need to let off steam. Christmas payday was 10 earlier than usual, so this month has been hard work. Pay day yesterday. And thought i will get the zed sorted, and sort the sills out. Postie turns up this morning, and hey presto, a letter from my solictor requesting more money for the divorce im going through £400, gee thanks for that. So already peed off, go to work. Come home at lunchtime for a break only to find the washing machine has decided to die a death, Oh F***ing great!!!!!!!! They say things come in 3's, come on bring it on. :censored: to solicitors, the law in this contry stinks, she had the dam affair let her pay for it. :censored: poxy washing machines, bring back the good old days, a stream, couple of rocks and a washboard Things are not good in Sussex, wheres the Stella... GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
  2. just a quick note to help you. remove wheel arch liners both sides, and engine under tray, jack up front. Most visible bolts are 10mm, and use an extension. the awkward ones to get are the ones behind the fogs. remove indcators to access the rear of the fogs. A headtorch is a great help.
  3. Possible baz, but "toit, toit like a tiger" easier with lights out.
  4. you will need these 4 packs of Tamiya r/c diff kit item number 50602. I re did mine and a little write up http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=122508&highlight=metal+gears+headlights

  6. welcome mate, firstly make sure you zed is running as best as it can, a good starting point. Upgrade exhausts, air induction. these will make it breath better and gain some bhp.then there is boost controllers.this will make further increases. start off will small mods and learn how zeds react in different conditions, and upgrade from there. Depends how much power you want and how big your wallet is. Too many new owners just go for it to early in zed ownership, watch out for these lady's as they will try and throw the back end out, is not too hard either. Great car and fantastic fun to drive, but just be carefull.:punk:
  7. Just found this, like britians worst driver, even better using a zed. Nice and tidy to start with. Watch from start, zed is on until 13 mins. These people shouldnt be driving anything let alone a right hand zed.:no: Funny...............
  8. depends what your experience is on rebuilding engines and how big your wallet is. i am self taught mechanic and do all my work on my zed, the rebuild process of a zed engine would be complex and i wouldnt tackle it. but if you have the time and space then try it. Other guys on here are faced with the same, an engine swap is easier, get a decent 2nd hand one, with upgrades there are big powers to gain. The option i would go if i needed a rebuild would be either- Jimmer (member on here) as all i read about his work is great, or Zedworld (trader on here) they too have vast zed knowledge. Both have a good reputation, for doing stuff well.
  9. same bit of kit that i have, ive got the turbo downpipes, full decats, x peice and exhaust. the difference after i put them on was instant. sounds great and the fit perfect. really makes the engine breath better and defo quicker. but luckily i have good turbos. as groover states, only thing i needed to remove was starter motor, and the old nuts on the back of the tubs can be a pain.
  10. PMSL at this thread only one input about tizers old zed, the rest total a mess. good on you guys...lol
  11. let off steam. always when you dont need the agro things like this crop up. smile and the world smiles with you, if not i find taking asledge hammer to the local pavement helps......................
  12. lol, bloody chavs. My old hunting area around hanger lane, used to work at park royal and live in ealing. Nice to see the boys in blue didnt hassle you.
  13. Went off to local scappies to get a new ciggie lighter for my girlfriends micra. After robbing a like new one, having a nose around. At the back of the yard there was a ford maverick, look inside and hey presto both interior chrome door handles in perfect condition. even better some kind sole had removed the door panels. so 2 mins later and they are mine. go upto the pay kiosk, expecting to pay £20+, and the girl says call it a fiver. £5 for a complete pair of chrome handles in perfect conditon. Bargain. Now got to chat with them about a complete set of 350z brembos, front and back with pads and new disks of an 09 350z. are these a direct fit??
  14. Taken my zed 3 times now when going carp fishing near montlucon, about 7-8 hours from calais. lovely fast drive, and even better when its hot. get the tops off. One bit of advice. if using toll roads, for example A14 to rouen. there is a very long stretch, no speed cameras or police. Naturally your zed might go a bit quicker than usual. which is great fun, but before you get to the next toll. park up a couple of miles before, and let the zed cool down, when you go through the toll it will show you average speed as being nice and slow, and the police wont stand in front of the barrier and give you a piece of paper for good measure.. do it................
  15. also it will held in with some really sticky black stuff. once nuts are off push from the back of the panel. Try not to use a screwdriver to prise apart, unless very carefull, as loads of guys have tried a bit hard and land up cracking it.
  16. have a look at this how to i did. if the adjusters are broken replace with metal tamiya gears. i got mine from dan at DTA. really good job, but does need the lights out to do it. http://300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=122508&highlight=headlight
  17. Nice and crisp and tidy. Great pics and a very tidy clean zed mate. Love the reg.
  18. good on you mate, only way to learn on these cars is to get stuck in and try things for yourself. Once you start stripping engines and trying trickier jobs, do you learn more about how things work. They at first look really complicated, but experience is the key. Just wait till you try and remove a gearbox or clutch or an engine. Then its a whole different kind of pain. Your knuckles will never be the same. Well done.
  19. Martin, ever since seeing that huge pile of stuff in your garage, to now. Well done fella for sticking with it and not walking away. Top work from Jimmer and John. Cant believe how freely the engine revs, and how far it goes round the dial. Excellant news.
  20. Still a true work of art, seen loads of times. Feed em to the pigs errol.................. Quality :bow::bow:
  21. Hi mate, long time no hear, hows your plumbing knowledge coming along........
  22. this will help alot. I used it to do mine, got a bit more life out of clutch, but it will still need replacing mate. One tip, remove the front seat first, so you can lay on your back. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=117083
  23. Nice condition. worth swapping it over with a working tt manual engine. honest price too.
  24. Bitter apple spray available from pet shops. just spray it on, shouldnt damge the plants but the kitty will soon get the message, have a look at this link http://www.vetuk.co.uk/veterinary-supplies-pet-wound-care-products-c-141_169/bitter-apple-236mls-spray-p-1131
  25. Boldy fill it in. Did you do the skirts? if so you must have the patience of a saint, and a very good eye for detail. Are you staying the same silver? Great job, looks the nuts.
