  10. Welcome, there are a few guys around London, and others local to you. either a tt or Na are both great cars. same goes for auto and manuals. Some good ones out there, and also some old dogs. When you start looking, view a few, then you will see what i mean. some owners will say there zed is spotless, but are unaware of issues. thus making it a bad one. Get a feel for the car, and get a well maintained, well look after. may cost more at first but worth it in the long run. Look after these cars and they will lokk after you.
  11. My personal favorite one, all look great but this is right up there. where im trying to get to..........
  12. Red one is chewie's old zed, now owned by AnthonyR34. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=142316&highlight=chewie Both stunning zeds.

  15. Rich, sorry to drop in today on a fly by visit, but i have to say the paint job is first class mate, really tidy. Pictures dont do your zed justice, so much better in the flesh. Fantastic slickie.
  16. If you are luckily enough to have electric passenger seat, but have a fault with the switch, trying to find a replacement is getting harder and harder. There is a solution, get hold of a working drivers switch, and it can be modified. You will need to remove the seat, and disconnect wiring underneath, remove the switch with a screwdriver (2 screws on outer casing, and 2 holding the metal plate inside the casing) You do not need to start messing about with the switch and controls, as opening it up, will release all the small ball bearings, which will no doubt run for cover under the carpet. You will see there are numbers of wires, each going to either the heaters, tilt or forwards/backwards. At the moment leave as they are, with the replacement switch at hand turn upside down to view the connections. On the drivers switch it is multi directional, and has more wires than needed on the passenger. On the drivers you only need to keep the following starting on left side, keep, white, black, and red. on right side keep white/red, orange, brown. All other wires can be cut close to the switch. Just a case now of following the route of the old wires, removing some cable ties, and sleeving. and using existing plugs. This is what it should look like when done. There is no pictures on the z32 manual, only a reference to the wiring diagram http://www.300zx.co.uk/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=bf&dir=&config=&refresh=&direction=forward&scale=0&cycle=off&slide=34&design=default&total=46 any probs, just ask. Stu
  17. Rich, glad you joined up, i saw your zed end of last week, on the Body shop roundabout., i was in the works van. Looks great after the work mate, nice and pristine and you still have the spoiler. Get some pics up so folks on here can see it too. Will pop into your the shop when passing. stu
  18. good effort lee, good idea to steam it all first, gives you a better chance of getting everything where it should go. You are a very brave man, and alot of hours ahead, but well worth it.
  19. WTF??? strange, caught on two different cameras, its path out is super fast. either very very good fake, or ET decided he didnt want to visit there. Its real, they are coming................the truth is out there. Im a believer, no way we are the only living things in this universe.
  20. LOL remember that place well gaz, and the soilders walking around with guns, asking us what were we doing??? Other places, martin you could consider, Goodwood race track or goodwood house. Beaulieu could be an option. Or some of the naval dockyards at Portsmouth. All would need permission. stu
  21. On course for the most viewed thread for a while. 2311 views and 184 replies. And jeff started it. Its gone way past, what the thread was to start.:wacko:
  22. Yup. stopped to adjust his harness, then flames were hitting the back of his head, he grabbed his extinguisher and his wife ran, but no chance to even use it.
  23. Cut a long story short to start. i bumped into a guy last week at a local tyre specialist, after seeing his car. Never seen one before. a Minataur kit car, basically rear engined V8, full race car made for the road, fantastic sound and looks. Really nice bloke, has been building it for last 4 years and has spent ober £50k. HAd its MOT last week and passed no probs. Today i drove past him and his wife, as i was on route to our office. went in the office, 5 minutes later he was bashing the door down, shouting get the brigade. Not an actual before of the car, but the same with different wheels and colour. then as it was, on fire. Turns out had a fuel leak, spilled onto the manifolds, and within seconds, no more expensive minataur. If any of you guys suspect a fuel leak, look into it, and get if sorted, for yours and your zeds sake. Sad day for the guy. but he and his missus walked away. Stu
  24. Jesus mate, great work martin, jimmer and john. Keep the figures coming.
  25. 410 at the wheels as it i. once its run in, with the tubbies and proper fueling mid 7's, then with the nos, no idea, but well up there. From seeing what has gone into it, it will be an animal. Good on you Martin.
