Looking to buy a ZX - need some advice
Welcome mate, this may be a bit biased, but i would go for a TT Manual. I have driven N/A's both auto and manual, and also still own both an auto and a manual TT. dont get me wrong, the n/a is still lots of fun, but the difference between a n/a and a TT is alot. My first zed was my TT Auto, which was a huge jump from my prvious car. Love it to bits, but a manual TT is something else. Look at a few, and test drive them to which suits you and your bank balance best. There are some total dogs out there, but when you find a good one you will know. There are few of us along the south coast, if you need help looking over a zed, were happy to assist Stu

end of an era (dog racing)
Al, i know what you mean, its way of life, with so many new dogs coming up, seems each time i go to the dogs, they are all new. Have no idea what to back, but great fun the same. How long has he been doing it???? I like when a dog has its last race, everyone gives him or her a cheer and it goes to to a nice retirement.

Headlight Once Removed Jobs!!
as vijay says cut a slot in the rear inner bolt tops to make a point you can use a flat screwdriver to refit. also the tamiya gears are worth every penny, when you refit, try and remove as much of the black sticky crap as you can, and use black bath silcone to seal, makes it super easy if ever you need to remove again. stu

Never ask yout girlfriend to cut your hair.!!
Made a stupid decision just now, i usually cut my own hair with my trimmers. Did the usual size 2, never had a problem, but thought i needed to just trim the back of up, so ask my girlfriend can she "just trim the neck" take off the 2 size, now its a 0. First cut, and she has done a Jackass on me. All i see is way more hair than normal, falling down my t shirt. get another mirror to see whats gone wrong. The result. . Now i look like some sort of merry monk, with a skin condition. :2guns:

you never loose it............
for those who dont know, i was a fireman for 8 years, at a retained station that is behind my house. Tonight, my girlfriend was on the computer and see's lots of smoke coming from a neighbouring house, i look and can tell its way more than a bonfire. after telling girlfriend to call the brigade, me and my son run over the road, to find that the guys bonfire has gone well out of control. His shed, garage and avairy are all alight. After banging on his door, he has no idea what is going on his garden. after getting him out. Call the neighbours, and tell her to get herself and the kids out. Total panic instantly. she is screaming, kids crying, first question i ask is " anything in your garage likely to explode" to which i find out she has a speed boat with engine and a 15kg gas bottle, plus loads of paint and stuff, me and my son wrench open the door, grab the gas bottle and haul the boat and trailer down the drive, and start emptying the garage rapidily, to save anything we can. as doing this the brigade are on scene. Garage of the neighbour is totally fooked, shed is gone and 6 birds are no more, neighbour is being seen by ambulance for smoke inhalation, but no one hurt. thank god. plus the house's are safe. nice to get a thanks from my old station officer, saying "you never forget mate". feel very glad with the outcome, as it could have been alot worse. stu
