EU: Leave or Remain
Speaking as Someone who reletivly rescently made an IN/OUT vote, we were given "weighted" facts by both sides as to the pro's and cons of independance. Ultamatly the majority of us will never have a proper grasp of the TRUE detail that would be required to make an informed descision. What we will do, and as I did in our reforendom, is vote with our hearts. Good luck with however you vote.

Where does your screen name come from?
I used to play role playing games when I as a teenager, and Gabrial was the name of a Vampire I played for the best part of 10 years. Originally took the name from Eric Dravens cat in the movie The Crow. The Nerd will return to his corner now!!!!!

Anyone know about ammeters?
Sorry Andy I was getting slightly confused, The shunt idea actually measures the volt drop across the shunt so if you were using a muti meter it would be voltage you measured and would then need to calculate the current based on the fixed resistance of the shunt and the volt drop. I forgot that for panel aplications you can get a shunt and meter that are calibrated together to display current ( though what the meter is actually reading is voltage ). As for the unit Vijay has, I am still not sure why it must be on the negative side, the current will be the same at each part of the circuit. It probibly wont matter but assuming the battery supplies a constant voltage the resistance of the shunt will cause a reduction in the current flowing through the glow plugs which if they are just coils will mean them not getting as hot.

Andy I think the multi meter option won't work, I'm pretty sure the clamp metres only work on ac currents. Also connecting in parallel with shunt won't work as all the current will flow through the shunt and not the Meter. What sort of current would be expected in the glow plug circuits.

Anyone know about ammeters?
You need the meter to be in series with the circuit, so you would need to wire the 4 supply cables into one side of the meter and the other side to the bus bar. In theory you should be able to do the same on the negative path as well, as long as the meter is in series it doesnt matter.

Visiting Loch Ness next month
If you can head up into glen affric, probably the most stunning place you will find anywhere. Also chanaray point where you can often see dolfins, some times no more than 10 to 15 feet from the shore. When at loch ness take in a visit to Urquhart castle. To be honest the whole area is stunning, whatever you do I don't think you will be disappointed.

The future of the planet.....
What I love is the conviction that were "killing the planet", how are they so sure. as little as 25000 years ago britain was still seing out the end of the last ice age, the clue being in the title. It was COLD here and over most of the planet, since then the planet has been getting warmer, is in not possible that the planet is simply continuing to warm up and it has in actual fact got bugger all to do with us. It might very well happen that the climate changes to the point where humans and many other life forms are killed off, it wont be the first loss of a species in the 4.6 billion years the planet has been around, but the planet is still here and doing quite fine thank you. Dont get me wrong, I'm all for reducing pollution where we can, we do still have to live here after all. Just stop with the pretence of screwing us out of our hard earned cash as some way of supposidly making things better. The only way it will get better is if we all do something, that means the big countries like america and china need to act as well or anything we do is simply an insignificant drop in the ocean. Rant Over!!!!!!

370z brake upgrade
I've been looking at this for a while, If your looking at the brackets from z1 there site says only the fronts are a straight bolt on, the rears require the calipers to be machined. Do you guys think the brake balance would be out by much if you were to only do the fronts. Cheers Martin.
