Sending attachments by email ??
Alan, i've never actually tried sending a music file, but to keep the size down try creating a ZIP file and sending them in that. And if that doesnt work i'm a big fan of the old fasioned way, burn to a disk and buy a stamp.

knob behind , what would you do
I had some twit in a BMW do this to me going threw a long stretch of road works. The limit was down to 40 and he came tanking up behind me from way back could see him in the mirror baring down on us. He then proceeded to sit no more than a few feet away from me at 40 miles an hour. Like most of you I would normally do the same thing if pushed, simple tap of the brakes, get the point accross, but he was so close that even a tap on the brakes would have put him into the back of me. Now when the cones finnished I pulled over and as you would expect got dogs abuse from him as he passed me, thats when things got childish when he pulled in front and accelerated away I simply sped up and did the same to him, he didn't like me sitting up his rear end at stuped miles an hour and slammed on his brakes then sped off, so like an idiot I went taring after him again, eventually I backed off as we were going so fast the lisence would have been out the window if I had been stopped. Thankfully I've grown up a bit. Only a bit though.

15 years in september
Got my first job at 17, part time while at school and continued with it till I left uni in 1996. So 8 years ish with that one. Moved on to a full time temp job with the civil service for 9 months while I tried to get my firsts engineering job. First Job as an engineer lasted for 9 months, moved on when they went back on there word to look at the crap salery they were paying me. They actually seemed surprised when I moved for a 100% pay rise. Next job lasted 18 months as a producton engineer at a semi-conductor plant, this was my favourit job so far, unfortunatly I could see the writing on the wall and moved on a few months before they announced the plant was closing. Moved back to the first engineering company as they had never replaced me, this time I lasted 11 months and again moved because they went back on there word about something else. Finally in 2000 moved to the company I am with as a Project Engineer then in 2004 was made up to a Project Manager. So come April this year it will be 10 years in the one place.

What are you doing to the Z next?
Got the interior in bits retriming at the moment. Panels are done, doors still to do then fit new seat covers. Have coverd the stereo suround and momo steering wheel in carbon fiber effect vinal going to do the dash vents as well as the switch surrounds on the doors. With the trim off i'm fitting some sound dedaning material I got from e bay on to the back of the trim as well as onto the car itself. Work for the near future, and thanks to temperatures of -14 degrees I now have leaks around the targas and boot so this will need fixing, the original spoiler has gone from bad to really bad thanks to the frost so that needs to go too. Finally I want a new exhaust to try and get rid of the bloody drone which is present from 2k to 3.5k revs. and once I get this lot done it will be MOT time then who knows.

Arm Rest Removal
Thanks Guys, I think Legrath may have hit it on the head with the 3 screws not 2, though from the diagram it looks like the cd controler may be where the third screw is. I'll try and get into it tomorrow and let you know how I got on. cheers again martin.

Arm Rest Removal
Hi guys, I have been removing the interior panels for re-trimming and am having serious trouble getting the centre unit which holds the arm rest and hand break gater out. I've done the screws on each side of the gear stick, and through reading some posts on here found the two screws hidden under the felt in the arm rest box, I have also removed the 'T' shaped piece of trim which sits between the seats ( SWB car ), but I still cant get it to lift out. Now, under the arm rest there is what appears to be a factory fit controller for a CD multi-changer, is this likely to be the problem and if so any ideas on how to get it out. Cheers in advance Martin.

Amazing low temp
We were checking periodically during the day yesterday and the temp never got above -8 in East Kilbride all day. It was -10 in the morning when I got to the office and -11 when I left.

How cold is it where you are ?
when I left my brothers in Blackridge on New Years Eve it was -11. Just looked out this morning and its been snowing again over night. Tried to get into the Z yesterday to turn the engin over only to find the doors frozen solid.

christmas number 1
Dann unfortunatly they wont get the same air play, despite being number one the rage song doesn't have the backing of the corporate machine and hence wont make the play lists of most radio stations. anyway nice to see some rock at number one regardless of the reason. I'm also sure that on the Radio 1 interview before they played it Zack said the band were going to give some of there share of the revenues to charity.

Mri ....
I've had a couple of MRI's now for my back and I agree with you not much fun. Try doing what I did, as soon as you lie down on the bed close your eyes. The greatest cause of angsiety is the feeling of being surrounded by the machine, lie back eyes closed and simply focus on your breathing nice deep breaths in through your nose, out through your mouth. There is NOTHING they are going to do which can hurt so just be calm, breath and think about doing something nice once its all over. Or you could think about how funny it was for the radiologist trying to get me into the machine the first time I went, my chest and sholders were so big i couldn't fit in the machine. I had to lie with my arms stretched out over my head sticking out the other end of the machine.....how embarresing. Anyway good luck and let us all know how you get on. Martin.

Infinity Break upgrade
Found these on the american e-bay site, thought people might be interested in the comparison photos in the advert. I think these are the same as the Nissan branded ones which are being sold. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/INFINITI-NISSAN-SPORT-BIG-BRAKE-KIT-FOR-G35-350Z-03-Up_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem2c4dac9290QQitemZ190281716368QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

marriage of figaro (Mozart)
Cant work out how to do the links, but ive always liked this. Wagner - Die Walküre: "The Ride of the Valkyries" Heard a few of these live, and dispite being more of a metal/heavy rock sort of person you really cant beat a full orchestra giving it pelters.

mobile BBQ
Just thought I'd stick this up. Was traveling home last night, not in the Z thankfully, and noticed a smell which I thought was the exhaust feeding into the car. By the time I was off the motorway and had slowed down in town the smell changed rappidly from an exhaust smell to a deffinate smell of fuel. The car started to stutter and then cut out by this time I'm rolling along with no brakes, no clutch and someone driving behind me flashing there lights. As the car finally rolled to a stop thick black smoke started to billow out of the dashboard, 15 min and 1 large shiney fire engine later I was the proud owner of a 3 year old S60 Volvo with no front end and on board swimming pool in the back. Anyway no one hurt, and it is just a car.
