  1. Silver G-reg, parked up right outside pub, swift :duffer: on a Friday night, or the start of a w/ender-bender  ?????
  2. Luke at 'Zed Centre' can supply black gunk :)
  3. Yep, I've got stillen stuff from Mike, very helpful bloke.
  4. Blue/purple flip with gold 5 spokes, Channel Island plate, on the Condor Guernsey to Portsmouth ferry, 6am today. One of my students says he was having a chat with you, was very impressed, especially when you started her up :D
  5. When I added Ned on my insurance as named driver the premium went down............and she hadn't long passed her test at that point  Doesn't matter though, she still hates the car, reckon it's coz she can't see over the steering wheel
  6. Yep, I thought of your sig as soon as I saw that interior :D - I'm just too slow off the mark!!!!
  7. Don't know about a Doctor's test - our Doc went by the test we got from Tesco!!!! Bear in mind that they pick up on hormone levels (trys to refrain from obvious comments regarding women/hormones :slap: ), so - based on the time scale involved - she may not be producing significant levels yet. We've just had our first and I've no intention of giving up the zed, but I don't live in London!!! All the best, Steve
  8. Cheers for all the kind words and advice, Mum and daughter have been home for two days now and we're just begining to get our heads around everything. Zhale spoilt us for the first night, because she hadn't got the 'feeding' right, so she slept right through, which wasn't good for her. However, she's feeding well now and made up for it last night by screaming blue murder on the hour, every hour bless her :slap: !!! Trish and Marco, you were so right about the birth - as it was a waterbirth I got to guide Zhale up to her Mums arms, can't even begin to describe that - especially having trying my best to help Ned through 12 hours of agony - sod that for a game of soldiers  Anyway, Mum and daughter are both doing well and hopefully we'll be attending a meet or two later on in the year. Cheers again everybody, your comments have been much appreciated by both of us. Steve, Ned and Zhale PS, I've tried attaching pics, but being IT useless I'm struggling, so if they aint here this time :headvswal ....sorry!!!
  9. As above, glad to hear Jamie's on the mend, hopefully the rest of 2008 will be better for all concerned, cheers, Steve and Ned
  10. Cheers guys, it's strange, never really thought of myself as a Dad, always avoided kids - especially babies, but holding her was so natural and feels "right". I know they say it's different when it's your own, but still a bit weird - in a fantastic way. Looking forward to getting to know her, especially over the next two weeks, as I've got "paternity leave" (they call it leave because, at £112/week before stopages, you have to 'leave' your salary behind  but it'll be well worth it :hyper: ).
  11. :hyper: :hyper: :nana2: :nana2: First girl I ever knew to be early for anything. Our daughter, Zhale Ellen, was born lunchtime yesterday after a long labour. Got to be honest Nerida only had a little bit of gas and air and didn't swear once, not even at me - I would've been on every drug they offered after the first hour and calling the midwives every name under the sun. Still, I survived the ordeal :D For the ladies out there, she was 9lbs 3oz, has dark brown hair and blue eyes. They've been kept in hospital as little one isn't too keen on feeding at the moment, prefers to sleep, (which I really hope she'll keep doing, suspect that's wishful thinking, but I can dream) but should be home tomorrow. Off to an empty bed now - got to get as much sleep as possible, might be the last chance for a long time ;) Cheers, Steve, Ned and Zhale (no longer a "bump")
  12. I like the way you're thinking, but I suspect you've "misunderstood" the point
  13. Second that, thoughts and best wishes for Jamie and family, thanks for letting us know Smithy
  14. Tried getting stuff from them on-line last year and had several problems with their system, sent a couple of e-mails with no response  , so I gave up  If anyone in UK has any luck and is placing an order please 'pm' me 'cos there are a couple of bits I'd still like to get hold of - if you don't mind me tagging on - I know it's cheeky, but don't ask, don't get :D Cheers, Steve
  15. Hmmmmmmm, you naive young man :D Love doesn't mean you won't pay for phrases like "reasonable price", let alone actually giving her age  all us oldies know you'll never get away with that
  16. I think she's going to do very unpleasant things to you and your zed

Couldn't do last years one, would like to do this years - if I'm feeling brave enough  but being realistic I can't see me 'zedding' before mid-year
  18. Yep, did much the same with mine, would look better had I taken a little more time on it - patience isn't one of my strong points :smash: but it's not too hard a job
  19. ooooooowwww.........touchy, touchy - easy tiger, me thinks a becks is called for
  20. Apparently we had a "flurry" of snow in Pompey around 11 am, Ned, being a 'lady of leisure' these days, was almost as excited as you about it - not good in her condition!!! Being the only worker in our house (it's OK, she' gone to bed  ) I missed it
  21. Hi Gaz, mine was making a similar noise - higher pitch "rattle" coming from the right cam cover area BUT coupled to a lower pitch one which I couldn't quite locate, both of which disappeared once warmed-up, hence Micra at the last meet  mechanic couldn't suggest anything other than an oil change as there was no noise for him to listen to :headvswal that does seem to have cured it though - for the moment! IIRC yours is a daily drive whereas my 'girl' sits on the drive (come rain or shine) for weeks in between runs, which doesn't help lifters etc. You could try having a chat with Scotty, he was having similar rattle problems at Ringwood meet. Give me a shout if you (and/or Nick) need any extra help, obviously depending on 'baby birth' (which apparently could be any time from now till early Feb.........eeeeeek!!!!) etc Cheers, Steve

MERRY CHRIMBO EVERYONE We've meet up with many other marvellous zed nuts around the country which has been fun, but it's been a great year for 'SC' which is down to some hard work by Athene and her "helpers" (you know who you are!!), you're all stars  We're easily the best area - no offence to 'SW' or 'NW' :D - so thanks to all, have a great Christmas and New Year and we look forward to catching up with you all in the near future :duffer: Cheers, Steve and Ned
