  1. So, the rumours ARE true:shock::D Have a Good one matey:duffer::duffer: Cheers, Steve, Ned and Zhale
  2. Mine's a 1990 Jap N/A and the 'knob' just un-screwed - a familiar feeling:cry:
  3. My renewal was for £180 for 12 months, went up to £185 when I actually renewed PLUS £2.50 for the pleasure of using Visa :headvswal Still, as has been said, could be a lot worse!!!!
  4. Mines a 1990 jap import and there's no screws involved, does take a damn good "tug" though. Goes back together in much the same way. have fun, Steve
  5. Hiya, looking unlikely that we'll be at this one, am having my rear-arches flared on the Saturday:hyper: but am expecting the paintwork to be "damaged" - bodyshop is on stand-by!!!! Quite apart from the missus not being happy about the whole week-end being 'zedded'. However, we'll see how things are on the day. Cheers, Steve
  6. I'm still here - the snow scared everyone else off:rofl:, apart from Athene - she's waiting for it to come back. Still having car-seat issues for the baby, so can't really commit to anything at the moment. I keep looking though and will try to fit in with whatever I can. Cheers, Steve
  7. Didn't bother with mine as I was recovering them I just cut the top edge of the panel to allow the belt to pass through un-hindered - about quarter inch deep. Doesn't look as "neat and tidy" as the proper panel, but works just fine.
  8. As above, recently converted my 1990 import - got a set of uk 3-point belts from the "for sale" section. relatively easy job to do, all the mount points are under the interior trim/seat, hardest bit is removing the trim that goes up around the rear hatch struts - 'pita' (make sure you support the hatch before you do this bit). The belts are side specific, will only attach/work on the correct side and don't worry if the belt mechanism locks before it goes on the car - it'll free itself once attached properly!! One word of warning though, make sure you get all the bits for the belts - including the short 'catch' section that bolts to the floor under the seat as the lap-belt 'catch' doesn't lock very well with the UK bit!! Sounds a lot more involved than it actually is, shouldn't take more than a couple of hours - have fun, Cheers, Steve
  9. Hiya, you've got mail!!!! Cheers, Steve
  10. Haha, thought t'was you .......... was noisy enough for me to look 'round to see what it was ......... only do that for a decent sounding exhaust note, not yer normal " Pompey boy racer" type - sounds and looks good:bow: However, sorry to tell you this, but I know a little girl who is louder:headvswal No, seriously she's doing well, was a bit tense for a week or two - neither Ned nor me are good without sleep! but now sleeping 7 - 8 hours a night, which is much better. Begining to react to things as well, which makes all the difference, she's more of a 'little person' now, rather than a 'screaming pita' lol!!! Have fun with the gearbox, assume you're fitting it - good luck mate, be worth it though - much better overall driving experience. Cheers, Steve, Ned and Zhale
  11. was that you making all the noise in Pompey tonight:hyper:?? About 5.30, heading south through City centre - only yellow, smooth tail I can think of around these parts:D
  12. Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo, need this doing, but like "Da Bullet" I'm also working - first Saturday I've done in bl**dy years:headvswal Oh, well, need some rust sorting out as well, so I'll just tell myself they couldn't roll them until that's been sorted .......... please don't tell me any different or  Maybe next time
  13. :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
  14. Now that's my way of thinking, hense my "girl" is called 'betty' - no real reason for the choice, just fitted!!!! Just wait 'till 'Funky' sees this thread
  15. not me, I was at Tesco's N. Harbour:D
  16. "Family" should be OK to travel those distances by then, so I'll give a speculative yes - never been to the Emerald Isle (you'll kill me for this, but not worried about the guinness  ) and it'd be good to catch up with you and Tulip again. Cheers, Steve
  17. Where in Hampshire? need some work doing on my "girl" and it'd be good to know who to avoid - especially if they're 'goin' up in smoke' in the near future :D Assume, if you've travelled down here, that they were recommended which is a real pita. Hopefully you'll find someone more reliable/better, nearer to home.
  18. Winston Churchill Ave, lunch-time today being driven on a trade plate
  19. 'CCZ ****', parked up in Asda's car park this afternoon.

well said that man  Don't be daft Athene - you haven't let anyone down, we all know how serious you take the club and SC so we know (and appreciate) that this isn't a decision you've taken lightly. I'm a great believer in "things happen for a reason" so hopefully your problems etc. will work out for the best in the end. Meanwhile, hang on in there.........

Glad to hear that, but really sorry to hear you're stepping down, you've done us proud  , especially as you were following on from Gaz, whoever takes this on has got a lot to live up to!! Take care "Hun", hope we'll catch up at a meet soon.
  22. Looks cool - I now know why your ride height is so low, it's all the batteries you need to run all the gadgets you've squeezed into the poor thing :D
