  1. Should have done the same but I've stuck with it until now:no: Didn't think it could get much more tediously predictable than the last couple of seasons but I'll just record the highlights, watch the first lap and fast-forward to the last one 'cos that's as interesting as it's going to be!!! At least I'm old enough (just!!) to remember when it really was 'man and machine' versus 'man and machine' rather than the pit lane stratigists and garage-based computer geeks. Ah, Hunt-the-shunt wasn't the greatest driver to become World Champ, but he could never be accused of being 'dull and boring' :thumbup1:
  2. :stupid: Not really as daft as others make out, got the same issues with mine - sits on the drive for weeks at a time and I now have pitted discs (strangely, the rears are a lot worse than the fronts:confused1:) which isn't good for discs with less than 8000 miles on them!!! Oh well, they're a bit small for the new'ish alloys, so might be forced to upgrade - guess the missus might believe me ...............:innocent:
  3. saw you a couple of times - very distinctive, shame you had to sell, but fully understand your reasons. Probably best it's not a local buyer, not sure how I'd feel about selling my 'girl' and then seeing her around town, I know, very sad, but it would just be wrong.
  4. Pompey, for my sins:laugh: ........ although I would like to point out that I'm Midlands born and bred, ha, ha
  5. Lots around this area, but not that many are on this site - have been putting cards on those that I see parked up ... guess we're just too scary:innocent:

fun for a "few days" ................ novelty wore off when I tried walking up the street to the train station:thumbdown: and it's even worse now - 2 -3 inch thick ice-rink which is leathal to walk on.

not in this weather:no: maybe if the sun comes out, not that my 'girl' is in any condition to be seen by other zedders
  8. Hi Jeff, got a sick wife and daughter (woman flu!!) so afraid I won't be able to make it. Really sorry as I was looking forward to meeting everyone, am sure it'll be a great bash. Thanks to you, Lynda and Jamie for all the hard work involved in organising this and best wishes for Christmas and the New Year. Cheers, Steve, Nerida and Zhale
  9. OK, have managed to find the instructions to my button and am now more confused - button is supplied pre-wired to a relay this then has 4 wires, one to live (fag lighter), one to ground, one to the button and one to the ignition wire behind ignition barrel. Everyone else seems to have TWO wires going to the barrel, am I missing something ?? Any idea's which wire behind the barrel I would need to connect this single relay wire to? Ho, hum it all seemed simple until I looked behind the ignition barrel:(
  10. like wise, good to catch up with everyone, sorry had to leave early but little 'un was seriously tired and getting grouchy - get's that from her Mum:rofl: Hope to catch up again soon, Cheers Steve, Ned and Zhale
  11. I've got a Maxi-cosi in the back - only one I found that would fit, but that's a forward facing, never found a rear facing one that fitted in the back (my zeds an import and the door mounted front seat belt isn't really suitable for baby seats  Daughter is now coming up 2 and, as Jimmer says, leg room is a serious issue - for Mum and daughter - still trying to find a more suitable seat for the back - so advice from other zed 'dad's' would be appreciated. Have already had the "it's got to go" comments from the missus, mind you, she's been saying that since I bought it 8 years ago:D
  12. Am going to try and make this if only for an hour, is it still on? If so what pub - haven't been there in years and only know the picnic area car park, although I know that there has been a lot of changes around there due to the tunnel.
  13. Would be very much appreciated, I could follow most of the basic info I got with my 'button' but it merely says to conect one of the wires into the ignition wire behind the barrel but I have no idea which one of the bunch that is!! Have to say the way things are at the moment doubt I'll get the chance to have a go at sorting it until my Christmas break - assuming it isn't too cold or wet to be working on the drive, but photos would be a great help. Cheers for the offer, Steve
  14. Mine's been part fitted for a couple of years as I can't figure out which wire from the key barrel I'm supposed to link it to - too many wires to choose from for a non-electrics person like me:( although I have been told that it shouldn't affect the alarm/immobiliser, which is nice to know.
  15. surely it's 'deep-fried' in Scotland:D
  16. I'm just up the road, but always busy with family stuff at weekends, not that I'm that mechanically minded - make good tea though:D Drop me a pm with phone number and if I get a couple of hours I'll try to pop over for moral support if nothing else. Either way, good luck mate, cheers, Steve
  17. Come on lad's, let's not forget Lynda's tea, coffee and biscuits:bow:
  18. Nooooo, hang in there mate, it'll be worth it in the end and if you give up now you'll regret it later on.
  19. Didn't have a high rear spoiler, although wasn't standard either - would have remembered one like yours:bow: Sorry, only saw it from the side inbetween the rest of the jam, so I'm afraid got no number:(
  20. Dark blue, kitted zed, almost as dirty as mine:D - (actually, that wouldn't be possible). 11'ish, stuck in the jam going into Gosport, I was on my way out towards M-27.
  21. Cheers chaps, been staying with the parents for a few days - must be the only house in the UK without internet lol still made a nice break .... back to the 'DIY' now - no rest for the wicked:rofl:
  22. Not really surprised:eek:
  23. Sounds like the sort of bloke that would 'muck about' with gunpowder :D
  24. sounds like you got well stitched up matey, didn't anyone else turn up ......... or did they just 'forget' about you?? Never mind, at least it didn't rain - well, not where I was travelling anyway:D Just remember it's someone elses turn next time. Cheers, Steve
