My two penneth....warranty companies do not cover wear and tear. It is very difficult to convince them that a 10+ year old car is not failing through "wear and tear". A "warranty company" refused my turbo issues bec it was not "wear and tear". I have been told they independantly verify any work on cars of this sort...! Sorry to keep repeating "wear and tear"....

The Truvelos I have seen have all been facing the oncoming traffic. How do these work for Motorbikes??? I was told they are illegal bec they fail to catch Motorbikes. It's an interesting thought... Phil.

Nissan quoted me £5000 all in for new stock turbos. 40+ hours labour is the bulk of the cost....

Well, it looks like there are a few of us in the same boat, but no one willing to offer any advice as to how we can get out of it....Anyone else out there got any suggestions for good turbo repariers??? Or will it start another mini-flame-war if they do ???:eek:

Guys, A quick straw poll....Apart from SE of course, Who would be the best bet to replace my turbos? I don't wish to start a war here, I am just canvassing opinions as I have warranty cover but only if they have failed and not worn out...! I have to pay for their removal, and if they are broken, I get my money back, if they've worn out, I have to pay. Many thanks, Phil.

A wonderful example of Serendipity..... MY Z just failed it's MOT bec the rear break lights were used as the rear fog light (as suggested above). The reason for it failing : they were white, not red. As with other guys here, it had passed 3 previous MOTs just fine....Will covering them in a red light gel be sufficient? Phil.
