  1. And the Pentium Floating Point Bug was what exactly? It was an error in the microcode, so it's partially true what you say!
  2. I sort of liken Windows and Linux to the Real Ale debate: Linux is the equivalent of homebrew/real ale. It's a complex and traditional pint which is beloved by Beards and the shifty, strange looking people who you would cross the road to avoid. Nice but not an everyday thing. Windows is yer mass-produced cooking lager (Stella, Foster, Kronenberg). Well packaged and really for mass-consumption. Can be drunk everyday but it will take its toll. :duffer:
  3. Shame! It's just people with attitudes like that really get to me. Mind you, if I was irked by every car dealer with an atittude... Must stop and have a dump on his forecourt next time I'm passing. Phil.
  4. Did ChrisC ever get any comeback on his mail? I'm curious as I love their Customer Relations style....
  5. Does anyone have any thoughts on the above? They are based in Bletchely in MK. Primarily Supra people but supposed to be handy with 300s. Any non-libellous stories/experiences? Phil.
  6. "There shall and must be Asprin!"
  7. As well as Mr Duff and Mr Crew! Thanks to all who helped with my PCV upgrade today. Vijay also deserves credit for puttign up with my minging hangover...."I feel like a pig shat in my head!" Phil.
  8. Suzy, Sent you a mail too but just in case....I'll hoover up what's left ticket and track wise! Phil.

So, is this (like Jock) a goer? Just so I know.... Phil PS - If you hear any tales of inept snooker playing from John-Boy, ignore him.
  10. MAC, Please PM me and let me know your thoughts. Genuine reason for this! Thanks, Phil.

JB, Will you have the TT Kit fitted by then? Just a thought....

Yes....Yes, I do Miss. How about you two JB/PaulC? Phil.
  13. Vijay, I'm working in the West End for the next couple of days. If you can get over to Oxford Circus, I'll take a look at it for you! Phil.
  14. Vijay, Try this link. I downloaded a version from here. If it breaks in the meantime, PM and I'll send you a copy. Phil.
  15. Vijay, Try this link. It is a DOS util that takes care of common virii, and also fits onto a floppy. Give it a whirl, it is by Kasperksy labs and is similar to the Stinger W32 app provided by NAI. Phil.
  16. :xxx: Kazaa Lite is slowly being shut out and eradicated by Sherman Networks. See here. So he will not be able to instal Kazaa LITE as you so helpfully point out bec not only is it difficult to find on websites, but the client will no longer be able to connect soon. He could try DietK, but not sure how that works. Bit Torrent - It's not great for single songs but more for downloading complete albums. Great if you want US TV before it gets here! Keeps my Sopranos addiction under control!
  17. Great movie, treated in a criminal manner by studio and public alike. The scene where the two cops are killed is almost unbearable to watch!!! Captain Spaudling....what a guy!
  18. Not sure yet! I hgave a budget in mind and am trying to match a car to that. It's only the early stages at the mo, but it is definitely a Chimaera I am after. We are not that far apart Tim, so perhaps a chinwag copuld be in order? Phil.
  19. Can anyone suggest a good place for a buying guide for the above? I did a search and there does not seem to be much about. I've wisely dumped the Supra and need a runabout for the Summer to compliment the Z. Any help apart from along the lines of "don't bother" would be much appreciated. Ta! Phil
  20. Ron, If it makes you feel better, I can turn up in my Supra instead of the Z? Let me know, bec I'll be setting off about 1030. Phil.
  21. Gents, Will have to withdraw. Cannot get my discs and calipers done in time, and it will not do to turn up in a Soop! Phil.
  22. I'd be in for that...I'll have to retrieve the Z from storage in Cambs, but I'll be there. It would not do to turn up in normal mode of conveyance! Has a time been set for Farthing Corner? If not how about Henry's Table? Phil.
  23. Herman, Sure did! Saw Scott H Reginer (as Army Dude), Ken Foree (as TV Preacher), and also Tom Savini in a not so subtle appearance! Did you see the name of the large, ladies Boutique in the mall? I think it as called Gaylen Ross!!! No David Emge though....is he still alive??? I thought it was messy and quite a disaapointment on the whole. Phil.
  24. What?!?!? It is the Z31 capital of the world! Spent a week there and saw now fewer than 10 of them!!! Also, got to see a couple of Z32s. Spent most of my time down in the keys! Lots of them there. South Beach is where the serious motoring bling is. Lots of Mercedes and Porsche DBIs...
  25. Tooley, drop me a line. I could have some very good news for you!!! Phil.
