  1. Must admit it is a recognised mod that is meant to have general benefits all round! Also it is meant to stop the heater cores from decaying, someone posted up a link a while ago where poor earths caused the coolant to become more corrosive!
  2. Hello Mate, Personally I would some rad flush in it, and then hose it out from both each end!
  3. Have a good new year everyone! And drive careful!!

Hi Dunk, It is not the fact that the arm seizes on the CPB, but that it is not up to the job, even on a stock clutch! I think some members on here have had several go!
  5. Cheers Harve, Will be restarting the thread about what people want for billing! So we can have some more ideas?

http://www.mjpauto.com/ No Inspection plate and 95% sure gearbox will have to come off! CPB should be about £40 ish quid max

Forgot to say, you can a stock clutch from Mike Feeney if you want to keep everything as is, but get an upgraded CPB as these are a well known fault!

Hello Mate, It is quite common for the Clutch pivot ball to fail or not as common the clutch arm! I believe Smithy (traders section) can get hold of these, talk to him regarding clutches as he is the importer for RPS! If you are planning or have any mods to your car then it is advisable to get an upgraded clutch! An upgraded aftermarket clutch pivot ball is available and it won't break the bank, I believe you can get an upgraded clutch arm as well don't know the price. Talk to smithy about local fitters or PaulG he is up that way and should know someone Local! Also have a look in the FAQ section where I have written a guide of things to do when the gearbox is off.
  9. I like the idea of meeting up with more cars, I think we have everything to gain by opening meetings up! Plus it might give us more access to bits the skyline owners throw out and put them on a proper car:D :D :D
  10. Noone is south west organiser, know any candidates?
  11. Hi Gio, Was gonna say the sender is usually at fault and not the bearings! Replace the sender, but these are only meant to last a few years before failing! I would say don't worry about oil pressure unless you can hear your bearings knocking! It is not a common fault on zeds!
  12. I have but you just need a vice
  13. A fookin vegetable PEELER:mad: I shouldn't complain, it's from my mum who is elderley and she isn't firing on all cylinders these days!
  14. Hope you all have a great one! I've enjoyed the past year on the forum and hope you have to!!
  15. I find night shifts muck up my sleeping patterns on my days off!!
  16. Cos I told you to keep that part of our relationship quiet:D ;)
  17. The only item I need to finish off my TT conversion is the OS gilken cluch bearing!! If anyone knows how and where to get one ASAP, please let me know?????

Adam, Are there any decent forums for the Honda Prelude, or the Vtec engine? A mate of mine has one and he is always asking about tuning!!
  20. Sorry to hear that Harve!!! I have found with these situations there is a plus side!!:D You have to keep them in the back of your mind!!! Next time you F**k something up you can drag it back up again! It should also be a good excuse to propogate the idea of a lads holiday away this year, to get over the stress!!:D

Yes and put it in the Power steering reservoir!
  22. Lets hope you are in a fit enough state to switch off the NOS if you have a prang!
  23. Jaffa, Thanks for the pictures mate, the only probem is, that is a vertical pic of no 4 and 5 coolant feed! If you take the core plug out of the back of the engine and see how they block no 6 cylinder, it is virtually enclosed!
  24. If they started to admit that metal head gaskets don't work on a zed, people would start to question their use on other cars, where they could well work! Maybe it's something to do with the VG30Dett!!
