  1. my heart felt condolences to his family and friends....
  2. Hi mate, Welcome firstly. & secondly give Mike Feeney a call at MJP auto (he's in the Traders Section) he's not to far from you. If that fails give Zen, Ztech or any of the other traders a go... This is a personal opinion but valid I hope; Nissan don't really understand these cars and charge well OTT for parts! There are almost always cars be broken up and you can get some really good parts off here so get yourself a subscription, it's only £20 and these guys and gals really know their stuff.... cheers bud!
  3. I'll tell you what I know mate, although I reckon one of the more techy bods will help when they're back from JAE. The 2 sensors in the pipe from the water pump are both temp. Ones for the guage and one for the ECU. I can't remember which way round they are. The conncections on theses are known for becoming unreliable so it's probably worth fiving them a clean and seeing whether this makes a difference. I think the aux fan should only come on when the engines relly hot but I'm not sure. someone else will no doubt confirm HTH
  4. No Idea... I'll find out when I Pick the car up from Ryan. I guess it won't dump the boost properly and it'll show on the gauge... I'll post on this thread when I find out. Cheers
  5. Cheers guys.. I should be picking the car up soon so we'll see... Cheers!
  6. Cheers bud, I'll give it a go tomorrow when I get them back... Hope I can do it... Cheers for the help! :duffer: Has anyone else done this?
  7. Bought some Apexi BOV's secondhand a while back and took them to Ztech today to be fitted only for Ryan to find that one of them is seized... :smash: I know I should contact the seller etc. but does anyone know if it is possible to rebuild these.. was really looking forward to having them. :( anyhow got Koyo Rad and gauges to keep me happy :) Any help much appreciated. Cheers

  9. failing that Gaugeplace.com.... One thing though, I'm taking the car to Z-Tech to get koyo, gauges and Dumpvalves fitted tomorrow and have a sandwich plate thinking it would make life easier for Ryan and the guys but Ryan said he's loath to fit one as many people experience problems with them leaking. TBH I'm not an expert but thought I should pass the info on. Cheers
  10. Thought as much, cheers Bud
  11. Looking at a set of wheels details are: 17 inch x 8J front and 9J rear and offsets Front is 22.5mm and rears 42.5mm. Question is are they ok for Z fitment? Any help will be much appreciated... :)
  12. Fair enough... I won't bid then... thanks for the info
  13. anyone seen this... Thought it might interest someone... Does anyone know what sort of power these would produce? :) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=006&item=160007828328&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1
  14. Got mine yesterday aswell.. Very pleased... Well done!
  15. Hi mate, are you sure they're all working. Check the fuse in the box by the loud pedel in drivers side footwell it's the 3rd one in from the bulkhead on the top row if memory serves. This could have gone... it's replace and trace time then if it blows again.. hope this helps.
  16. Thankyou for that! I'll be giving them a call tomorrow :D ... Got my Mountain bike stolen from the shed and my current insurer wouldn't pay the full amount coz the shed wasn't alarmed :headvswal
  17. that'll teach me for not doing the research! sorry!
  18. Heres the link if anyones interested: http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=14308
  19. I did think about that. Sounds like you found a good insurance company! who are they if you don't mind me asking?
  20. True... I would think though if you have declared a car SORN coz you've got it in bits in a barn/garage or whatever you should be allowed to choose whether you insure it or not... athough I'd always try for some sort of insurance. You'd hope the insurance companies would just charge a decent rate based on the security/car value etc. Maybe one of the insurance guys on here could give a heads up on plans?
  21. lifted off the Pistonheads website  If you keep a vehicle then it will have to be insured, whether or not it's on the road. That's the implication of a news story today in the insurance industry's magazine Insurance Times. The Motor Insurer's Bureau (MIB) said it had "successfully lobbied the Government to introduce a new law which will require all vehicles to have insurance". This will be in the Road Safety Bill, currently going through Parliament and will create a new offence of "keeping a vehicle without insurance". The insurance industry -- which of course will stand to profit hugely from this -- reckons that it tightens up the law against those using a vehicle on the road without insurance. The move came after the MIB started sending details of suspected uninsured cars to police forces up and down the country, which allegedly resulted in a 10x increase in arrests by police. The MIB argues that the £30 extra it costs all of us to cover those who drive without insurance could be cut if this becomes law. Well, we'll wait and see -- prices tend to go up rather than down -- but if you've a vehicle or two off the road, they'll now need totally superfluous insurance.
  22. Hi guys hope you can help me out here! I have a replacment plastic surround for the dials (the bit the lights and ac controls bolt to and has the autobox light and Hicas warning lights etc. on) as whoever had the car before me wrecked the original! Anyhow went to replace it last night and realised that the immobiliser LED is fitted from the front and there are no connectors on the rear to remove and the cable seems to run through the bulkhead to the alarm system. Question is can I cut these wires to this LED and re-join them without sending the imobiliser into some sort of safety mode or just screwing it completely? Hope you can help... :)
  23. if it helps mines a jap 90 TT and has them....
