Hi Guys

My headlights when on dipped beam don't work. All of my other lights work including full beam. Both head lamp fuses under the bonnet are ok and the bulbs are fine, but my battery has since gone partially flat indicating some sort of short circuit /current drain.

Are there any other fuses relating to the headlamps other than the two in the engine bay?

Also, could it be a faulty relay? If so, could I test it by swapping it with one of the relays next to it?

Many thanks

Jon

Any ideas anyone?

Hi mate, are you sure they're all working. Check the fuse in the box by the loud pedel in drivers side footwell it's the 3rd one in from the bulkhead on the top row if memory serves. This could have gone... it's replace and trace time then if it blows again.. hope this helps.

Hi i had the same problem do as above and check every fuse take em out have a look...if that dont do it you may have the same prob mine was and its a pain in the bum...the fuse pannel in the dvrs footwell has fuses behind it about 5 relays etc...one had come loose on mine so the dim went off..pushed in and all ok just another when you put your lights on does it go straight to main beam if so this is because the have a drive you home setup if the dim fails these come on auto to get you home. hope this helps.

Thanks Stricker and g60cc. Advice much appreciated! :)

I've checked all of the fuses and I'll have a go tomorrow at reseating the relays. I have a feeling it's going to be a fiddly trace job as all the other lights work as normal. It's just when the light switch is in the dipped position that the dipped beams don't work and the full beams don't come on in their place unless I switch to full beam. Also, with the ignition switched off there's a 1/3 amp discharge from the battery (despite everything being switched off) indicating some sort of short circuit.

Cheers
