You need to click here for the Mitsubishi Lancer Register, afaik it has the same wealth of knowledge about Evo's as this site has about the Zed.

My kitchen window :D I can see the roundabout from my flat. Sounded nice as you gave it some beans away from the lights. :hyper:

Second Car For The Wife
My other half had an F and has currently got a TF. The TF is so much better, it's only 135bhp but it delivers it well and handles superbly. As has been said before, watch out for headgaskets on the F model as they were prone to failing within the 1st 30000 miles, the one you're looking says that there are loads of receipts so this may have been done, if it hasn't then be careful. When they started making the TF they used a new type of HG and some different head bolts which cured the problem. The F will rattle quite a lot so don't be too concerned about squeaks and noises in the cabin. Have a good look at the rear window and general condition of the roof as they are not cheap if you need to change them. The rear windows have a habit of cracking/splitting in the winter. For all the faults that her F had, she loved it (even though it broke down a few times and cost her a bit!!!!), so much so that she bought a brand new TF. They are fun little cars but just check the history thoroughly.

South East Jap Meet
I did. There were 6 of us that went in a convoy from Portsmouth, got there at just after 1 and stayed until about 2.30ish. There were a few others there (no zeds, what a shock eh!!!!!) but I'm not surprised with the pants weather. It got me out of the house for the afternoon and gave the zed a chance to stretch her legs a bit. If there are any pics posted up on UJCC I'll stick up a link.

Importing a head unit?
It might be worth doing some extra investigation into the features on the headunit. I bought a top 'o the range Alpine unit from the states a couple of years ago and they have an option to change the world zone that you are using it in. Just a thought.

2 annoying little faults
Well I have cleaned the connectors on the yellow plug and all seems to be good with the hesitation on part throttle, just the idle to go. :D

Mine did the same and I fitted some collars and it was sorted. Get some like these and all should be well again. Worth getting some from the states as they're so much cheaper than buying them here, have a hunt around as there are cheaper and more expensive versions. Make sure you get the slotted ones and it will take you about 20 mins to fit if you can get the car on a lift.- 300zx Frog
My bad, I shall hang my head in shame!!!!! :headvswal :D- 300zx Frog
Whilst not all the mods on this zed are to my taste I can appreciate the time, effort and creativity that have gone into this car. I like the Supra rear lights but not the Veilside spoiler, I like the creativity of using the 350z headlights but not the bumper that goes under them etc. There are a lot of conflicting parts on this car for everyone to like it but i would suggest that the guy who built it was aiming to build a car that HE likes and it's just a bonus if others like it too. If you were to ask him about the looks of a standard car I'm sure he would be of the same opinion as Si is about this one. Who should say what looks good and what doesn't? At the end of the day there are purists and modifiers and they will never agree on anything. I realise that I'm not a well established member of this club and anticipate that I will probably come under fire for my opinion, but I have one, and I have made it. I'll step down of my box now. (It just gets on my goat a bit when someones hard work gets completely slated with no positive comments at all). P.S. Love the colour and the suicide doors. :D- New Zed !! (Sometimes stalling today)
Welcome back to "reliable" motoring. :D- South East Jap Meet

I've just finished my breakfast and am firmly planted on the sofa with a cup of tea. I'm following Bradley Smith in the 125, Bautiste in the 250 and then it has to be Rossi. :hyper: - Rolling Road Day

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DUDE!!!!!!- 2 annoying little faults
I've got little faults that i would like to get sorted and I'm not sure if the two are connected. Firstly, when I put my foot on the throttle ever so slightly (and I mean slightly) it hesitates really badly. It's hard to describe, it's almost like it's running on 3 and when you put your foot down a bit more the other 3 kick in, it's most noticable when cold as I use as little throttle as possible until it warms up fully. Secondly, I have a fluctuating tickover. Sometimes it's great and just sits there at 750rpm and then other times it pulses anywhere up to 1500rpm, generally it kinda goes between 850 - 1100 but in rythmical pulses like it revs every second. When it pulses it settles after a maximum of about 20 secs. I checked out the tps plug as it was looking dodgy and it "appeared" that when I wiggled it the fault would stop so I assumed that was the fault. I cut the plug off and just put 2 spade connectors on (it doesn't look like a bodge!!!) thinking this would fix it but it hasn't. Any thoughts people - I'm Liking Vista (pointless thread really!)
Well I know absolutely bugger all about computers but it's on my new laptop and I'm not having any problems with it yet (only had it 2 days and not really ventured past getting my network set up) :D Looks cool and is all spangly and new, I'm suckered in by gimmicks and stuff though. :hyper: - jumping back end
