I'm confused
I'll try and be as concise as possible. Friday night, park the car on the drive and don't use it again until Saturday evening. When I start it, it sounds like it's only running on 5 cylinders so i check the coil pack connectors and they all seem fine. I'm not going far, only 2 minutes over the road to the supermarket, so I decide to take the zed anyway as it might just be damp due to it hammering down all day. Sounds like it's running on 5 all the way to the shop with ALOT of smoke coming from the passenger side exhaust. Park up, come back out and running on 6 again :hyper: . Drive back home and take a slow, tight, left hander and goes back down to 5 again and starts smoking once more, park up and leave it for the night. I went back out this morning and it wouldn't start at all, I did an ecu diagnostics and came back with a code 34 which is strange as I have by-passed the det sensor  checked all the connectors I could find in the bay (nothing seemed unusual) and tried again, with a cough and a splutter after a few more goes she started and went from 5 - 6 a few times and then levelled out. I figured i should take it for a drive to see if it was something wet and it would dry it out. All the time I was driving it stayed running on 6 but there was alot of smoke from the passenger side again and it took a long time for it to clear. Seems OK and back to normal now. Can anyone tell me what might have caused this? Just so that I know what to look for when it happens again. Cheers peeps.

Who's crashed in notts?
Feeling your pain Chris, such a lovely car but you have the skills to rebuild. Was it Shel that was driving? Glad that all involved are OK and maybe we will see a new incarnation of the Zed. P.s. Check out my vid that I posted up a few days ago as your 1st run is on it ;) Japshow Vid

Street Crime Live
The "cruise" was at Hedge End retail park just outside of Southampton. The program annoyed me as they chose to speak to the kind of people that make us car enthusuasts look bad, they always seem to speak to the "chav" element and talk about how many times they've been fined/banned for driving infractions, never to the responsible people who go to meets to admire other peoples cars and generally socialise.

Never heard of these.....
I saw one of these up for sale last year (I think), had a 6 speed manual conversion and was pushing around 600bhp. It was total pimp, loved it. :hyper:

Which wheels to go for?
Very tricky one, I looked at both the vortex and the 5 spoke last year when I bought my new rims. On the face of it I would go for the Vortex as they are a very classy looking wheel and really compliment the Zed but will be a bitch to clean. You can never go wrong with a big old 5 spoke though and washing is a sinch. :hyper:

I wonder
I had a look at this kit yesterday too and was also wondering about the mix of widearch and standard, as there was a mix I figured that he may have just pulled 2 random pics to put on his ad. Kit looks OK though, nice to see something a bit different.

23rd Sept - UJCC Hants meet
I just thought I'd let you know about the UJCC Hampshire meet as I know a few of you were looking for something to do this month. Location: West Meon Hut Time: 15.00 All jap cars are welcome and the more the merrier. There will be a convoy or 2 to the pub which are still yet to be confirmed It would be great if a few Zeds were there as I'm normally the only one and I'm helping to organise this one so i want it to be BIG. Original thread Location Start a list if you fancy coming.

My horn has a mind of it's own!!!
I was rudely awakened at 02:11 this morning to the soft and sweet sound of my horn going off!!! This isn't the 1st time it's happened, it went off a few weeks ago so I took the horn push out and it was silent again, for about half an hour :headvswal and then off it went again. This time I just left the fuse out and decided that it had to be the relay, had that checked and was told that it is fine. Put it back in again and the horn had been working as it's supposed to for the last couple of weeks until last night. Could it be an intermittent fault with the relay or amI going to have to go chasing wiring?

Boost problem
This isn't a new one as the problem has been there since the boost controller was fitted. Basically the boost rises as it should and currently peaks at about 15psi but after hitting peak it drops a couple of PSI and holds at 13.5 - 14, this was highlighted at the last RR day (with UJCC). I've played with the controller (greddy profec B spec II) for a long time and no matter what I do with the settings I can't get it to level out so I'm wondering if there could be something else I need to look at. Any thoughts appreciated. I've searched all round the site and can't come up with anything and the settings that others have are quite different to mine?!?!?!?!?! I was hoping to take it to the RR day on Saturday if I can get it sorted.
