  1. That's my zed, I was on my way to work.
  2. Did it look like this? But with 17s on instead? I don't know why but my code is set to off and I don't know how to turn it on?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!So you have link to my pics.
  3. Just a quickie folks, when I nail it and the wheels start spinning the back end starts banging and hopping about, is this due to the subframe bushes being knackered? Or could I be looking at something more sinister?
  4. Mine is usually sitting between 20 and 25psi when warm and on tickover. GULP.......................I hope this is right!!!!!!!
  5. Uh-oh................... .......................sex wee in my pants!!!!!
  6. Here you go, this is the chip that was in my ECU.
  7. I'll put up a pic tonight when I get in from work.
  8. Motherf*ckers!!!!!!!!!!!!! :smash: Smash them good with a large hammer!!!!!!!!
  9. Deffo the right way round guys, the notch does point towards the center. Is there anyway I can check and see if it is a re-mapped chip? I'm guessing that if I show you a pic it won't help at all!!!!!!!!! Both chips were marked differently if that helps. I had the car on the rollers last October with just the intake and de-cat exhaust and it made 306bhp which is why I didn't think it had been chipped. :headvswal My love of cars is fading again.
  10. Right, plugged and un-plugged the new ECU a couple of times and still nothing, but all is not lost, I decided to open up my ECU and what do you know? Already socketed :headvswal So i took the chip from Dipone's ecu and put it in mine and vice versa, Dipones ecu still didn't work but mine did :) The only thing is, it felt no different for having a JD chip in it  :headvswal Admittedly I'm having a few probs getting the boost controller set up right but I thought I would at least get something noticable. What am I missing guys?
  11. I'll have a play around this morning (now it's stopped raining) and I'll let you know how it goes. Fingers crossed. :)
  12. Firstly I'd like to say that I'm not blaming Dipone for this at all as I know it came from his running car. Anywho, I bought his "JD" chipped auto ECU with the thought that it would be "plug and play" but on plugging it in the car wouldn't start, not even a little cough, nothing. When he had the unfortunate luck of crashing his car, is there anything that could've happened to the ECU? It's not something I could imagine happening, but you never know. Any thoughts?
  13. Yup, the plate comes with 4 threaded ports on it (you can see 2 with bolts in in the picture) which have plugs in them, you can choose with port suits you best. If I can get under the car later, I'll take a picture for you.
  14. You can get one here , it's the one i've got and it's fine. ;)
  15. It sounds like this is exactly what has happened to my girlfriends MGTF. I was driving it on Saturday and I tried to pull away and it felt like I was pulling away in 3rd, coughed and spluttered for a bit and then drove OK. It's got progressively worse since then and is now in the garage. Back to the expensive stuff for me then. :(
  16. It all depends on what your after really, if you just want cheap and functional go to http://www.gaugeplace.co.uk they do quite a good range of stuff. You can always ring Nick, he's really helpful and he might even do you a deal.
  17. All fitted now. Many thanks to Kev for his advice yesterday, I owe you a :duffer: All I need now is my ECU from Dipone and I'm away. :hyper: The guide on "thumper" was spot on.
  18. Cheers bud, really good looking guide that one, starting to feel brave enough to tackle it on my own :hyper: PM on it's way. (just in case ;) )
  19. Anyone? Even just the smallest bit of advice will be a start
  20. I'm supposed to be fitting my Profec B EBC on Saturday, has anyone got a fitting guide? Yes I've done a search and yes I found a guide but...........not having lived around zeds for years I haven't got a clue what half the stuff is that it's going on about!!!!!!!! I'm not a complete dimwit when it comes to motors so I'm not scared to fit it myself unless it's recommended that a pro do it. Better still, is there anyone who would be willing to travel to Fareham to give me a hand? Please :hyper: :D I've got a warehouse to work in so it doesn't matter about the weather and there's as much tea and coffee as you can drink, I reckon I could even shout lunch and they'll be some beers in it too. :nana2:
  21. That's where I got mine from a couple of weeks ago, good service. I'm not an expert with the spanners and it only took me about an hour :p and cost me one small cut. If you've got spade hands you might want to employ the help of someone with smaller ones.
  22. I would have to go with VB first and then a Carlton cold. Damn I miss my travelling days.
  23. They're right you know, RED is deffinately the fastest colour :hyper:
  24. The weather is starting to look better for tomorrow and I've just spent 5 hours working on my baby, anyone gonna come and put my efforts to shame? Or am I going to be the only zed again?
