  1. The original one is much better, I bought a new one a couple of years ago and it's so cheap and crappy, not the quality of the old one.
  2. I'm guessing I was looking at the right thing, basically looks like a 10mm nut with a single connector on top next to an injector connector.
  3. I've been hunting around on the web to try and find a picture that will show me the location of the fuel temp sensor but to no avail. Can anyone tell me where it is? If you have some pics it would be even better. I need to change mine but am not sure about how much work is involved, I'm basing my decision on a lot of other work around this. Cheers guys. Alex.
  4. Anyone?????????????????????? I know most people bypass the det sensor but seeing as the fuel temp is being done I thought it might be worth getting done at the same time.
  5. I've got a '91 TT too and mine went through it's MOT yesterday. Full stainless pipe with de-cat and no probs at all, because of it's age the cats aren't required and it only has to fall below 3.5% CO emissions (mine came in at 1.05%). Good luck. :)
  6. I'm almost 100% sure you're right. A mate of mine is a copper and he told me this when I asked him, if you have the tube or bulb showing then it is illegal but if it is just the hue that can be seen then it's OK. I had a full green kit on my old celica and never had any bother from the feds. I'll double check for you next time I see him. Don't forget peeps, if we all liked the same thing the world would be a boring place.
  7. I've had the fault codes on the ECU for a while now and finally got around to a full diagnostic a couple of weeks ago and I deffinately have a fault with the fuel temp and det sensors. My question is can I get these parts including wiring from anywhere other than Nissan and how much am I looking at? I've had a quote for a maximum of £250 labour costs too, what do you reckon?
  8. I'd go for it being the pad wear limiter. Mine did, drove me insane until I bent it back out the way, just to buy me enough time to get new pads and be able to cope with driving. Passed the MOT today with old the pads still in.
  9. Check all your coil pack connectors as a couple may have come loose. I had this a few weeks ago, sounds like a V8 and pulls like a snail.
  10. Advice time guys. I've heard all sorts of different reports on different pads but I'm just wondering which people go for. EBC Green EBC Red Mintex Ferodo Porterfield etc. Best place to buy from too please. :)
  11. This happened to me (^^^^above^^^^) a couple of months ago, one of the threads had stripped on the bell housing causing the starter to drop, made a horrible noise. New thread and a bolt, job done. Could be the answer rather than shelling out for the starter only to find it won't bolt in.
  12. Scary isn't it, but there are stupid people everywhere not just in the states. It just seems that most are American. :x:
  13. I'll be going but I'll be with UJCC. From previous times when I've been they let people on club stands in between about 3pm and 4pm so that everyone can set up, wash, polish etc and the general public come in from 6pm. Talking from experience, if you arrive late, you will queue for a long time to get in, it's worth getting there early if you're going.
  14. A red and a black one. Sat in the layby just off jct 11 of the M27 at about 7am today. Twas me that flashed ya. :x: Looking nice and shiney BTW.
  15. I took mine out a couple of weeks ago so that I could earth them properly and use UK bulbs. The drivers side is fairly easy to do and didn't take that long, the passenger one I found to be complete pain in the @rse, you can only just about get one click on the ratchet for both rear bolts (I only put 1 back in!!!), persist and it can be done.
  16. It was nice to meet another couple of zed owners, normally I'm the only one at these meets. Even after talking to Ian about the cost of tyres and how I want to conserve them I couldn't resist a bit of sideways action as I left only to get bo11ocked by the gf for scaring the sh1t out of her. Then the car decided to run like a bitch and drop a couple of cylinders, fixed now though, just loose coil leads.
  17. Cool. See you tomorrow then. I reckon it's gonna a massive turn out tomorrow and perfect weather for a targa roof.
  18. I'm in complete agreement with you buddy, football gets right on my tits. I get constant abuse at work and accused of being gay just because I don't watch it, but I ask you, would you rather watch a load of sweaty men running around hugging each other or go out for a ride in your motor hunny spotting? Cars and girls or football and men? Now who's gay?
  19. So who's coming then? :hyper:
  20. I've got 275/30/19s on with standard suspension, during "normal" driving there is no problem but during hard cornering and through dips at speed the do rub a little bit. New suspension should sort that though. :)
  21. I feel for ya mate. I bet the driver was in his 80s too.
  22. I reckon you should all bail out of your family commitments and come along anyway. Maybe you could even bring the auntie along, she'd love it  Looks like your gonna miss a good one guys as it's going to be hot and sunny, maybe next time.
  23. Cheers for the info dude. Have you got a website address or contact details.
  24. You may have seen my other thread about my wheel shake. I took my baby to have the tracking/camber wheel alignment done. Not as bad as I thought it was but both the front and rear camber is out, the rear adjustment is seized so they didn't do that and obviously there's no adjustment on the front. The rears were only just out but the fronts need doing (or so they said), so the question is do I get adjustable camber arms or change all the shocks?
  25. Is there something I'm missing?
