2 today - Guernsey
I saw a red uk LWB, alloys going along Bulwer Avenue and then parked up at St Sampsons south side, about 12ish I think. Then a silver jap spec going up Rue Maze in the traffic and you turned off left. Bizzare, I can go weeks and weeks over here without seeing one and I go to a little island in the channel and see two!!!!!

Bought an R6 today
I've had a licence for about 15 years now but have only been back on 2 wheels for about the last 4 years, deffinately going to be taking it easy for a while as I'm sure they are quite "lively" compared to what I have been riding for the past 3 years ('96 FZR600R). Despite what many people say, I'm not an idiot and this is a huge investment for me so the last thing I want to do is chuck it down the road!!!!! Thank you:D

Bought an R6 today
:hyper::hyper::hyper: Waiting around this morning for the postman to deliver Guitar Hero: World Tour and got bored of waiting so the other half said "Why don't we take a trip to George Whites in Swindon and have a look at the bikes". Where's the harm in that I thought (even though I've wanted an R6 for ages), after some discussion, food and thinking time I've ordered a brand new one in red/white, delivery is due 4th December.:hyper::hyper::hyper:

Kenwood MASK ICE Problem
I had the same problem and it is the ribbon that goes from the back of the face plate carrier into the head unit. Over time the ribbon flexes backwards and forwards and fatigues causing the ribbon to fracture. I bought one from ebay and fitted it myself, bit of a fiddly job to do but only cost about £15 for the ribbon. The hardest part is de-soldering and re-soldering the new one on. Take your time and it will probably only take about an our.

Fancy wasting 5 minutes ????
Didn't count how many times I got it but I managed to get it so that you couldn't see the ball any more, it was just a line. There is a deffinate technique.

back on 2 wheels in the morning
I don't think I'd be doing much sleeping tonight if I was in your position.:hyper: Put up some pics as soon as you get so we can all bask in it's glory. Still un-decided about the R6, might wait for the big bang R1 next year!!!!!

Anybody got an R6?
This is the reason why I'm looking at a new one rather than getting used. I don't know any private sellers that do 0% apr.:D Might have to go and take one for a test ride on Saturday.

Anybody got an R6?
I'm thinking about buying a brand new '08 model as I've seen a pretty good offer and I'm very tempted. At £7500 I need to think very carefully before I make such a purchase as spare cash is something I don't have but I'm just about to get a promotion with a reasonable pay rise and so I thought I deserved a present. I'm 6' 1" ish and I'm worried about it being a bit small and weighty on my wrists. I've got a '96 FZR600R which is a lot more sports tourer than supersport and I'm concerned for the balance on comfort. Any comments welcome. Cheers.

Sad news for bike fans
Young british rider Craig Jones (23) had a big crash at Brands Hatch yesterday afternoon and unfortunately died in hospital this morning. He has been one to watch in this seasons World Supersport and was destined for World Superbike in the future. It's a sad loss. Full story here http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/kent/7540679.stm

suspension top mounts
Cheers Dave. They are KYB's so I guess I'll be looking at standard mounts. How much am I looking at? All these extra bits are adding up now (but I suppose I shouldn't moan as I've owned the car for 2.5 years and have only needed a radiator!!!!), doing a HICAS elimination so I'll need to change to an NA pas pot too won't I? Cheers peeps. Alex.

suspension top mounts
Hopefully be having my shocks, springs, camber arms etc fitted in the next week or so. My question is this, do I just use the standard top mounts or should I be getting something else?

Multi media recording devices
The av700 is what I've been looking at but they seem to be going for quite a bit more than £60 and anything I spend is coming out of the Zed paint fund!!!! Any alternatives or is the archos the way to go and I'd be p1ssed off with anything else? Cheers.
