  1. Thank you guys,id best get me computer head on and get some content for you guys,i will dig out some pics from me treasure trove.
  2. And measure the ovality of the offending conrod that had the worn bearing,quite often the hammering caused by the rod banging up and down on the freeplay knocks the rod oval,this is repairable but you,d need to strip the engine to remove it.
  3. In a word no,they are a mild profile and will retain decent idle,but wil be help the VG breath much better.
  4. You didnt use a spurious gasket set did you mark ? Oem is always the way.dont use the ams manifold gaskets that come with the manifolds either.very poor quality imho.
  5. if you keep it bud hire a de humidifier,it will draw most of the moisture out,take the seats apart and put the covers in the washing machine or get a leather kit.it will be quite a bit of work changing all the fluids etc but its a nice car, and id probaly fit new wheel bearings too,moisture will wreck them in no time.

  10. You sure you didnt get the sides mixed up,it should have a step in it at the rear iirc.In fact the more i llok at the pics id say they were on back to front mate.
  11. when i do speeches i never mention what you did years ago as most people dont give a shit tbh,unless the story is prime material dont use it,people will be bored in no time,you have around 7 minutes on average before people get bored,use it to rip him to shreds its what best men do and thats what its all about,just spend the time mocking him,make sure you pause between gags,gains you time and makes your speech look longer,wait for the audience to stop laughing before continuing,if a gag goes bad swiftly move on.

Ive had one for years now,it will wear quick with day to day use but i got mine refurbed quite cheap,bottle of JD cheap,they can be a pain in traffic if im honest as the urgency takes some getting used to.Once youve done some miles youll get used to the on off nature.If i was closer mate id let you drive mine.

Joel pickerings has them,nick z32,a guy called Grant whos not a member,Paul from Sussex ive forgot his username on here,Alanz has them,Zogg iirc,leo gts on here and Tommyboy, and myself bud,a few Lol.good tubs for the money.the cores are new garret units not refurbs,the housing are modded but the cores are new with larger turbines.Could be more but ive slept since then.
  14. dont kick yourself chap,booktime for a clutch is 2.6 hours,you did good by the sounds of it.
  15. With a god undertray to stop debris i cant see any probs mate for the odd run,just stop grit entering and youll be fine.Long term is a no no.
  16. gt 525s from z1,bolt on fitment and good for nigh on 500hp.No faffing about just bolt up,never as good as larger tubs with 5 bolt exits but more than capable and i have quite a few members running around the country who ive fitted them for and they were all impressed,a good tub for the money.Nobody in this country supplies an equal stock fixing tub with its capabilities.
  17. Yeah i read that matey but which pic is the right one if you get my drift.Is the first the larger or the second ? is the first one smaller with the wheel the right size or the second one smaller with an even smaller wheel ??
  18. I would say the compressor wheel is wrong too,the clearance down the side is massive in the second pic,and is the nut missing ? get a core from Z1 mate,be cheaper.
  19. Isnt it upside down too,thought the top elbows would be angled down not the other way around.
  20. pmsl Pete,were not all strip it out racers,never gets hot enough in Notts to warrant it anyhows,down yer in the West Country it do get proper hot mind.
  21. if the clutch is seizing you cant disconnect it electrially,you have to cut the belt off.

  23. rubbing down rust and priming wont keep it at bay,you need to treat the metal with an agent that converts the corroded ares back to metal like jenolite etc bud,any pits need filling,dont use filler its porus,people have told me that fibre fill is best,its meant for bridging gaps but dries water tight.
