  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Wow Simon, what a find!

I would be interested in your existing one, definitely.

No chance of a second new one I'm guessing?

No, this one was one a friend of mine bought a few years ago and had never fitted it.

You can have mine doe the princely sum of £0.00 including postage.

Simon, that is very generous of you sir, I do so appreciate it mate. :thumbup1:

I'll pm my address.

Spent a little while cleaning up the engine bay. Think more time needs to go into it as not overly impressed with how it looks

Nothing fancy bud, just followed these steps as I always find it pretty nervy with all the electrics. Great video

Thanks. Same for me with electrics...

Fixed fog lamp switch connectors as a fuse in the footwell blew every time it was switched on, forcing lights to main beam.

Turns out, 2 of the 4 connectors had been swapped around, but looked ok depending on which way up the switch was...

Must have been working for the MOT last month, so can't see how this has happened unless the garage had it apart for some reason?

Also replaced a blown HID ballast, possibly as a result of my mucking around with lights today to fix the fogs, tracking down the fault.

Also, disconnected the aerial, since it's bent and only extends a foot or so, and the bezel won't unscrew to replace it, it has been superseded by a dab one.

Garage that MOT'd and serviced it last also seem to have reconnected the stock boost solenoids, maybe over zealous in putting it back together and didn't take note of what wasn't connected...

Forgot to unplug them today so will be sticking with stock boost until I can be bothered to open the bonnet again, lol.

Might need a pointer to where the passenger side one is located....

So a lazily productive day, haha.

Nothing with the Z today as Lee Dent has it for injectors and a couple of other things , I have re-subscibed to the club and received a lovely new key from Ian Greenfield :)

FINALLY after a nearly 1 month wait for the adapters to come over from Merica land i got my set of skyline injectors fitted, and found while doing a compression test that my negative battery terminal is flogged D:

Hi Dave, it's still stuck out in the US. I'll get it posted to me this week and as soon as I get it, I'll send you my old one.
