Caught a glimpse of a 300zx whilst watching Goblin Garage today. Familiar to anyone?

On to the next stage of sorting the blue wide arch out. The central locking. This has 2 issues, not sure they'd be related at all but thoughts on both would be awesome if anyone can help. 1. When using the alarm fob, it's like it's the wrong way round. So when you turn the car off and set the alarm on, the door is unlocked, so I still have to then use the key to lock it and have the alarm on. Likewise, to start the car, the alarm fob has the door locked. Could this be something silly like 2 wires round the wrong way somewhere? 2. The passenger door does not lock or open with the central locking. This is both from the alarm fob and also doesn't do anythin…

Need new full exhaust- where are they available- any recommendations for upgrade but only sensible ones- don't want two dustbins at the back!!

So I followed the last few days of threads about traders and fees and now the contribution section. Called me old fashioned ( please do I am proud to be a grown up ) but this is becoming sureal, I don't get it, this is the thin end of the wedge for the forum credibility surely? I thought the 300zx forum / club had more about it than to resort to allowing the members subscribing and then donating to keep traders on board. Just my take on it of course but all appears a bit unseemly.. Jeff

There was an article in the paper yesterday regarding the new bands for the taxation on cars, l did not read all of it but it sounds as though Z owners could be in for a nice 'shock'. Basically apart from pure electric vehicles, all other vehicles will pay road tax even those currently rated at '0' now. An example given showed a 5.3 litre Mustang currently paying £480 a year road tax being reduced to £140 a year.!!! Surely this must mean that Zeds will be similarly reduced and down to £140 per year. Fingers crossed, something good may be coming our way.

I don't use my 300 very much in the winter months but the last 3 times I have been out for a spin the hicas light stays on for a minute or 2 then goes out ,I have checked all fluids put all looks as it always does. Anyone have any ideas or is it nothing to worry about?

Yesterday I was given a present from an old Nissan tech I know, as it was being thrown away with some old stock and he kindly rescued it for me instead......:clap::biggrin::clap: Unfortunately it was the only Z old stock being binned!..... lol

Hey guys, sadly ran into another hopefully small issue with my 300zx. Came to start it this morning and I'm met with nothing but clunky clicking noise. It's been sat over the weekend and last run last week with no issues or problems. I took a quick video to give a better indication (: After speaking with a few friends think it could be a faulty starter motor ?

Anybody know a good engineering company that can do Ultrasonic Cleaning of parts ? Not bothered where they are in the UK but need to be reliable.

Having MOT'd mine on Friday, I took it to the rallying at Goodwood on Saturday, pulled through Chichester Maccas on the way home and lo and behold, another one! Couldn't go full sad git and park next to it unfortunately but looked clean, and the wheels do tickle my fancy. Auto, and couldn't tell if turbo or nae, too dark to see the instruments and couldn't tell if it had intercoolers. I like to think there were some confused locals not believing their luck at seeing two superb rare Japanese performance cars in one place. Or not.

Im currently preparing my engine bay for my RB with some paint and relocating a few things such as the fuel filter and the fuse box. Has anyone relocated these and if so how did you do it? Also if you could point me out to another thread or website with info on it that'd be great. Most of the posts on this are old and the pictures are not viewable anymore.

See a Red 300 at the last minute heading up Ipswich road in Colchester towards A12. Wasn't in mine at the time.

I have a problem with the gauges / clocks all of a sudden. Issues appear to be: RPM - dead, not working at all Oil pressure - dead, not working at all Boost - going all the way to the righ (+14) Consult port also seems to no be working all of a sudden too. The speedo was already dead, which is what I was looking at, I basically plugged another set of clocks in while the engine was running when this happened. Same issue on both sets of clocks. So I'm guessing I perhaps blew a fuse or something. Does anyone know if there's a specific fuse that these sit on?

Hi all, I think it's been about 4 years since I last got some time to get on the forums, and although I still have a Z, it's of the 34 Nismo variety and as always is accompanied by a more sensible daily in the form of a Volvo or an IS200. Now then, I am and have been after getting back into a z32 since pretty much the day after selling my last one and so now I could do with some advice. Firstly, what is the going price nowadays for a 32? I've just spotted a slicktop that looks in amazing condition for 3k on here... unless I read something wrong....? I was wondering if anyone had a recommendation for cleaning off the muck around the outside edge of the rear screen where the glass meets the seals? I tried cream cleaner which didn’t make much difference then stepped it up to T-cut which made a bit more of an impact. The bits where I did get some results really brought the glass back to life. :cool3: Cheers, Chris.
