These combined threads might work, they might not?! I hope the other thread stays as intended and is purely pics of your own car and no comments. I for one think it would make a great thread, everyone loves showing their own off and seeing everyone elses. Let's see how it goes....... Any pictures you see and love tell us all here. Daffy.

Just gauging interest in this,as Im not a member at the moment,so NOT offering. Would any of you guys be interested in having this done to your parts..pics below of the finish,Ive been flocking parts for afew year now.Posted parts/courior collected and returned coated to you.The prices would very, very reasonable to members. Flock is nylon fibres (velvet to touch/suede-ish look)electrostatically charged to 50,000 volts(on my machine) and can be applied to plastic, metal, wood, fabric etc.If you've seen incar footage of rallycars in recent years, you'll have seen dashboards coated in black flock,to prevent dash glare on the windscreen on bright days, but any colour from reds…

Just found this online and thought it was a little interesting, dont know if anyone on here has done this or heard of it even?? Throttle body modification: The throttle body modification isn’t going to be the biggest gain in hp in the world, but the best part is, it’s FREE! In case you missed that, yes, its completely free! All you need for this modification is a metal file or a 10mm wrench (depending on what year 300zx). All you have to do is simply remove a nut or a bump of molded aluminum that is sitting right by your throttle cable. This bump or nut is preventing your throttle from being able to open completely. By allowing it to open completely you’ve in…

I posted a thread a not too long ago about balancer bar brackets been incorrectly fitted resulting in an air /boost leak. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=147345 The bar has a bracket on the drivers side which sit on top and is secured by the same fixings that hold the balancer bar itself down. The bracket to be fitted in-between the bar and the plenum rather than on top of the bar, the outcome of this is a substantial air / boot leak. This leak can effect both turbo and non turbo zeds and will lead to bad fuelling, a grumpy tickover ( my name for it) this also can cause failure to pass emissions testing at MOT time. Again today we see the v…

Ok, I thought I would start a new thread as I`m still having a problem with my lights. so.... my headlights are just switching to full beam and I`ve got no sidelights.. I`ve checked all the footwell fuses(all ok now) and I`ve swapped all the relays over from my (working)TT and its still the same :helpsmilie: So my question is where should i start looking now? i assume its an earth fault so where do the wires run that i need to check?, over the last few months i have moved my under bonnet main fuse box and done it properly and soldered and shrunk wrapped the cables that needed cutting and recently i`ve fitted a new stereo. so could any of these have made the problem? …

i found out today that as expected my engine/turbos are knackered, and its driving me nuts as what to do with it. do i spend around £2000 to get it repaired or do i sell it as is? after much debate with myself, i cant even justify even to myself, never mind anyone else to get it repaired. ive loved every minute of driving it, but cant afford to spend the money on it nor keep up the £200 a month running cost so............. Hi everyone, got a new (new to me)300zx on sunday, car goes really well and excelerates really good, the only thing that did'nt seem right is when cruising at say 50 or 60 if i lift my foot off the gas the engine revs drop right down to an idle, then when i put my foot back down again the engine would rev up from idle and catch up to the speed of the car. Dont no an awfull lot about auto gearboxes just seems like theres a missing link between engine and gearbox ?

If you ever thought about rebuilding your turbos yourself you need them balancing this will explain all. I have spoke to Turbo Technics before and they are £45 per hour normally balancing turbos within an hour however they will not just just balance any turbos you turn up with as they want to protect their machines from contamination :)

Coolant and antifreeze is a topic we are asked about on a regular basis, and often causes confusion; types, colours, service life etc. Perhaps the most frequent cause of confusion is what the difference between anti-freeze or coolant is. Basically, they’re the same product (although the term “coolant” could just be applied to plain water; see below!) To help clear some of the confusion up on the more technical details of antifreeze and coolants we enlisted the help of Martyn Mann – Technical Director, Millers Oils UK - who has provided the information below. Not all antifreeze / coolant is the same! Coolant can be plain water; water is a very effective…

Sorry for asking a question that has probably been asked countless times before, but if I wanted to convert my N/A in to a TT, how much am I looking at all in (parts and labour)? Don't need the details, just an approximate figure + number of days required for the work. Thanks.

Well just got back from the MOT, and well the car failed but not on what i thought it would. Front sidelights the wrong color, apparently White LED's are not white there blue? Rear number plate bulb not working (plagued by that damn thing even though it does work, its a dodgy wire so wasn't working when i took it) And the big one Rear wheel bearing too much play. So looks like I'm going to be rescuing the rear hub off my breaker for that one.

My mate has one of these, but has come from a punto GT, i.e. a single turbo set-up, can you buy the solenoids/loom etc. to get it to a dual set-up, or is it a different unit alltogether? Cheers, Tudor...

I had a problem during the coldest nights of the winter, car was garaged, but would run it every few days to warm her up etc. But one day I went to it, started her, and the fan belt squeeled it's nuts off then snapped, from the friction burning through it... Anyways, at the time, I presumed the water pump had frozen, fitted a new belt, and now squeels everytime I start her for about 30 seconds, then the viscous fan eventually kicks in. I thought maybe a bit of talc on the belt as I might have had grubby/oily hands when I fitted the belt, or could it have been the viscous fan all along? Do they fail like that? Cheers guys (and gals ;-)
