Well my white Z crawled into its final resting place today so I thought I'd give it a bit of a forum send-off. When I bought it back in 2009 it had been maintained but not necessarily looked after too well, the paint was different shades, and the seized turbo would have cost the previous owner too much to get repaired. Within a few days the engine was out and the seized turbo replaced. Last year I decided to do something about the tired paint. There were no long term plans for the car as I was looking at reshelling at some point, so painted it meself on the driveway :thumbup1: Ready just in time for the 2010 local shows, (…

Hi, have 2 things bugging me, 1 on the air con dash pod, should the temp setting stay illuminated when the ignition is off as mine does. And the other problem is the ignition key release button, quite often it wont push in and release the key. Any help would be great, Thanks. Brian.

Hi all, found out today that its not my wheel bearing that's gone, but the ball joint on the Hicas bar, so was going to change it for the one on my breaker, but run into a snag. how the hell do you get the bar off from the ball joint end. its looks like a square nut, and then two very thin nuts. but i don't know what size they are. looks to be in the region of 30 to 32mm spanner i need. Also i take it once i start undoing them, I'm going to leak hicas fluid everywhere and will then need to bleed the system once changed. Anyone got a walk through or something, ive checked the web, and im about to check the online service manual. Need to remove the bit …

Gonna be getting a new system fitted shortly and was wondering what should I do with the Cat temp sensors if I get rid of the cats? Also any under the car shots of exhausts systems on zed would be helpful as I'm planning on getting rid of one of the centre boxes as it scrapes on the way in and out of the runway lol. Cheers, Mark.

Hi there, I've searched the rest of the forum but haven't seem to find what I'm after. Had the new F452s fitted, they're great! The company who did it could only do the tracking/alignment on the front wheels. The said I had toeing out as opposed to toeing in. This I knew. But the slight pull to the left ( that has kinda always been there but is more prononced now with the new tyres) would suggest the problem lies with the rears wheels? For the rear wheel tracking/ alignment do I need to see a specialist? I've found a garage just down the road that does 4 wheel alignment but they say they can't do cars that have 4 wheel steering? I understand that would be the c…

Hi, As I have just got a TT, just wondered what chip/ecu people go for, on my impreza I have a simtek ecu as people say to stay clear on chips and get a proper remap. Also, what type of power can the TT engine handle without changing turbos and uprating internals? Getting the body work sorted first just woundered for the near future. Thank Mark

Hi all, Done a thread search on getting my turbos reconditioned but it seems most of the threads concentrate on the rebuild kits and who can balance them after. I'm not really interested in undertaking the task myself, but if the engine is coming out for a rebuild then it seems sensible to get the tubs reconditioned at the same time. Hopefully then, it should be like a new engine and not have to come out again. Is there a reputable club member or affiliate who recons turbos? Anyone know roughly how much this service costs? Or is it best to keep an eye on ebay and hope for a bargain on a new pair? Thanks in advance

Well after owning a n/a auto wanted a TT, so goy myself a Uk TT with the manual conversion already done. It needs the rear arches sorting, and a patch to weld under the bonnet for the mot but part from that spot on, just drove it back from Scotland. will get some pics up soon, and finally paid £650 what a bargain lol Mark

is there anywhere i can find a picture or diagram of all the water pipes on a tt. Had metal pipe on the rear passenger side changed cos mine sprung a leak the did a head bypass went fine for 3 weeks now clouds of steam again, so i'm guessing the extra pressure in the new pipes is playing havoc with the old ones and am thinking of swapping all of them but not sure how many that is. cheers

These combined threads might work, they might not?! I hope the other thread stays as intended and is purely pics of your own car and no comments. I for one think it would make a great thread, everyone loves showing their own off and seeing everyone elses. Let's see how it goes....... Any pictures you see and love tell us all here. Daffy.

Just gauging interest in this,as Im not a member at the moment,so NOT offering. Would any of you guys be interested in having this done to your parts..pics below of the finish,Ive been flocking parts for afew year now.Posted parts/courior collected and returned coated to you.The prices would very, very reasonable to members. Flock is nylon fibres (velvet to touch/suede-ish look)electrostatically charged to 50,000 volts(on my machine) and can be applied to plastic, metal, wood, fabric etc.If you've seen incar footage of rallycars in recent years, you'll have seen dashboards coated in black flock,to prevent dash glare on the windscreen on bright days, but any colour from reds…
