The other day, I noticed the I have a relay missing in the engine compartment. The lid to the relay box reads that it should be the 'sub fan' relay. The connectors are their for the relay. What does it do, and do I really really need it? Cheers. Ben.

After a normal run there seems to be the smell of burnt oil round my rear end (cue for carry-on style gag ...) On closer inspection the diff appears to be leaking some oil, I assume the level is ok as no light apperas on the dash (ie. diff oil warning lamp, which shows ok on ignition) although it could have been disconnected. The service manual indicates that you remove a plug (on the offside I think) and dip in a finger to check the level !? I guess the car should be level when you do this so jacking up to gain access DIY could be a problem. Any ideas on likely causes, and a method for checking the level? Cheers, Glenn

On my way home tonight I witnessed a terrible accident involving a young lad by the name of James who ran in front of the car in front of me. His head was smashed open leaving him in a critical condition. Being one of the first to help I was covered in blood and tried to keep joung James with us. I hope and prey he makes it. A note of caution to us all. Keep an eye on our speed. You never can tell what is around the next corner. I would ask the Z boys to wish James all the best and a speedy recovery. I would like to then print out our best wishes and visit him in hospital. This has shaken me up tonight and I hope to never see anything like this again. Ge…

After recently delimiting and changing over the Z to MPH I am having problems every morning. When the car is driven from cold the Speedo is reading 0 MPH and after about 1 min the steering becomes very heavy. After about 5 mins driving the Speedo starts to jump around and rests at the position it should be at. The power steering returns. This happens every morning. Yet if I start the car during the day it seems to be fine. I have gone through two convertors allready.???

I need to buy a new radiator for an auto TT asap. Is a UK Nissan dealer the best place to get one (as the standard US ones are different spec), or is it worth buying a Nismo radiator from Courtesy in the States and having it shipped over? I believe the Nismo rads are the same as the standard Euro rads. Is that correct? Is there anyone in the UK who does discounted genuine Nissan parts? The Z Centre? Also, I assume there's no problem with fitting a UK rad in a Jap spec TT is there? Thanks Dave

I've got a fuel leak from a component but I don't know what it is... At the top right of the engine there's a valve type thingy on a fuel line and it's bolted to the plenum. Looks like a plastic mushroom with a pipe going into it. Theres one on the left hand side too but it's just an in-line one and not fastened down to the plenum. My local garage said it was possibly some sort of fuel pressure relief valve but calls to the local Nissan dealer have resulted in erm, err, dunno Any ideas?

Guys. Did anyone look at the streetmap.com, was this clear enough to find the pub? Iv'e had no responce. Fastrack karting have an indoor track 1.5 miles away from the pub. 15 min = £15 unless we book sprint/grand prix etc, then its a bit cheeper. harve

Sorry to bring this up again, you guys must be getting bored with people asking this! Anyway, if straight through front pipes are fitted ( removing the cats ) does this mean even with new turbos that the oil seals will go in a short space of time? Or are new / recon turbos up to handling the increased flow through the exhaust? Any thoughts?? Cheers

THE JAPANESE CAR DEALER Nelson Mandela is sitting at home watching TV and drinking a beer when he hears a knock at the door. When he opens it, he is confronted by a little Chinese man, clutching a clip board and yelling, "You Sign! You sign!" Behind him is an enormous truck full of car exhausts. Nelson is standing there in complete amazement, when the Chinese man starts to yell louder. "You Sign! You sign!" Nelson says to him, "Look, you've obviously got the wrong man", and shuts the door in his face. The next day he hears a knock at the door again. When he opens it, the little Chinese man is back with a huge truck of brake pads. He thrusts his clipb…

Hi Guys, my gear box seems to becoming increasingly more difficult to select a gear. Theres no crunching of gears, just the stick is real hard to push in to the gate. 1st and 2nd are the worst more so at start up and as the car gets warmer the prob seems to ease up. The clutch is defo on its way out. Are the two related ? cheers Pete
