I've just whipped my plugs out to check their condition - I found they were Champion RC9YCC4. These don't sound right to me for some reason - aaaarrrrrggggghhhhhh!!!! Anyway, I've got a set on order form the z centre so they will be in the car asap. Has anyone seen these plugs before? Are they even "equivalent"? - I HATE that word!!! Any help much appreciated - I think this may even cure the hesitation but I'm not getting excited too early!!! Cheers in advance, Andy

Hi all, My Cruise Control has suddenly ceased working and will not activate when I press the 'SET' button on the steering wheel. I thought it could be a fuse, but there are NO fuses for the cruise control. Has anyone had a similair problem or can suggest where I should look ? Help very much appreciated.......Thanks. A.

Anyone got one in good condition? Mines cracked and the backing is peeling from the inside...

I have checked and replaced the bulb. Have even swapped the light unit with the passenger side one. Replaced the connectors. Here's where it gets wierd. There is 12V being switched on to the fog bulb but it doesn't light. The sidelight lights fine. The earth is shared between the sidelight and the fog bulbs. If the earth was bad the sidelight wouldn't come on... I have checked the fuse under the bonnet but couldn't find the fusebox in the interior (assume it's OK if there is one as one fog is on). There is a fog relay under the bonnet but can't easily test it. Any ideas? I've spent hours on this and getting nowhere! It's a '91 Jap TT.

I thought I would share my crap day with you all because it makes you feel so much better when you know someone has had a crapper day than you. My car seems to have developed a bit of a ticky lifter noise when ticking over so I lifted the bonnet for a better listen. Then I saw water running from the thermostat housing, I then stuck my finger in it and found it was petrol, a closer look showed it was coming from a little 2 inch hose under the throttle linkage. I had to remove the throttle linkage but one of the bolts is just covered by the cam belt backing plate so it wont come out, I had to use a dremmel multi to grind in a little scallop so I could get an allen key in.…

Hi all, I've finally got round to buying a Z, a SWB TT from japan (still gotta wait 6 weeks to get it though). I was just wondering if anyone knows how much the SWB weighs, as I seem to remember the 2+2 weighs slightly more than a sherman tank! Cheers

Hello chaps, If anyone has a workshop manual and you get the chance, please could you dig out the torque settings for the bolts holding the suspension struts for both rear and fronts for a 91 TT. (Its a jap but i would think the settings would be the same as a UK spec.) I'll be changing them myself next weekend and i'll let you know how easy it is or not as the case may be. Many thanks in advance, (I will buy a workshop manual some day I promise.)

I have learnt an all important lesson since Friday, repsect for the Z. It was pissing down, I took a countyr lane corner at 35mph, just touched the throttle and next thing you know !! She was gone, she spun twice covering about 720 Degrees in front of oncoming cars and all, I looked an absolute twat !! However, I drive like a pussy in the wet now but still give her a bashing in the sun (when that is). It shook me up I must say. I think it was partly due to 320bhp to the rear wheels and them being over inflated, turns out I had the rears at 40 psi which is too much for me 225/50/r16's, lowered them when I got home and it has been fine since. Think I have realised what is…

My 300 was behaving badly until I made the 1 1/2 hr journey to Rochester, Kent to meet Darren the mechanic. Within 3-4 minutes he had figured out what was wrong and cured the problem. He then gave the car a full dianositics test and gave it the green light without charging the earth. This guy genuinely knows his stuff, is trustworthy and sincere and I would recommend him to anyone one on this forum. Thanks again to craig and co. who put me in touch. George

I have a 1993 uk 300zx Twin Turbo with a sick engine. Has anyone had a decent rebuild done in the UK at an affordable price? It looks as though my problem is valve related and I'm being quoted £1400 labour + parts for a top end rebuild, is this reaonable? If a bottom end problem is subsequently diagnosed in addition then it will probably be more economical to consider fitting a donor engine, so any information on availability and price of quality reconditioned units this country would also be much appreciated. Basically any feedback would be greatfully received.
