...did anyone see this month's 'Banzai' magazine, with a Nissan Micra ice racer with a 3.2 litre normally aspirated 427bhp V6 from the Nissan Maxima. It would fit straight into my NA 300ZX! I don't suppose Turbos are a good idea on ice! JEZ

After the meet last weekend a few of you have asked about getting pagers fitted. The only weekend i have free at the moment is easter weekend, April 14/15. I will be working at Craigs house and can stay till Mon if needs be. I have one job booked in for Sun morning so let me know what you want doing and the best day for you and i`ll do what i can. I can do alarm fitting but will need more time so the earlier you let me know the better. the pagers are £60.00 fitted or if you have had one from me already £25.00 for fitting. Contact me direct at caralarms100@aol.com Bob

Went to Halfords on the way home.Went to leave and the front bumper was hanging over the kerb and did not want to come with me in one piece, so now I have a lump out of the bottom. So considering fitting new bodykit. Have seen a small pic of the 'border' bodykit but can not find a website for them. Any ideas anyone. Any other nice bodykits around. Paul.

so i get the bill for my car in italy and it is almost double what they said it would be, and here is why. they rebuilt my gearbox, steering column, put new seals and bushes where required and changed all sorts of other things on my car that needed replacing. i find this quite amusing as i never asked to have it done. now at least it is all like new, but at a price twice what i was qwuoted. must be the first nissan store on record that fixes things that were not to be fixed (basically under there own initiative) sorry for rambeling on.

I did something a bit stupid last week! I decided to peel off the 'Fairlady' sticker on the back of my Z. Unfortunately I managed to peel up some of the black rubbery material under it with my thumbnail (I didn't think it was spongy)! I've stuck the flap of black material back down (it's only about 1cm square) but it looks a bit crappy now. I would like to take the Nissan sticker off and get a new one to stick over the scuff mark I've made. Does anyone know where I get a new sticker from? I wish I'd just let the Fairlady stick on now! Cheers, Andy

Here goes - we've all heard this one before... Tonight I have cleaned all the connectors throttle bodies etc to try and solve the old Z problem of hesitation. The car now idles nice and smooth but sometimes it accelerates slower than a Metro!!! I am worried it could be the Airflow meter - does this need adjusting after fitting an aftermarket air filter??? Any help much appreciated before I start throwing money I haven't got at it!!! PS If your car does have a rough idle - clean the throttle bodies out - it works a treat!!!

Somehow they opened the driver door (must have used this bar thingy because the keylock is non operational - I disconnected it a year ago and only used the alarm remote). They tried to start it and screwed up the ignition. Stuck a key breaker in obviously. The key will not go in anymore (not all the way, almost - sometimes it even will) and it won't turn whatsoever. I had the car towed to safety and now I'm thinking I'll remove the ignition, take it to a shop to fix it and put it back in. Is it possible to remove the ignition as a DYI, how hard is it, any special tools? What other options do I have? I was told I can have a special key made which is ver…

Has anyone had experience of fitting a turbo timer (e.g.HKS) with a Cat 1 alarm/ Cat 2 immobiliser. From what I understand part of the Thatcham certification states that the immobiliser must kick in within so many seconds. If you have a timer leaving the engine running for xyz seconds will it prevent the immobiliser working or invalidate the certification?

One for the techies. While I was sorting some minor surface rust on the edge of the rear offside wing I removed the wheel to make spraying easier. Having a nose around and being impressed by the oil cooler on the diff ( and congrartulating myself again on choice of car etc etc) To my horror found the hose to one side of the cooler completely loose! Having had the car since Nov last year I think its been loose for some time as it's bone dry on the hose end and on the nipple on the oil cooler. Currently there is no noise from the diff so I assume there is still oil in it (I hope) I know from earlier post that the motor is conditioned by temp of oil I thin…

Import Solutions now have a web site www.importsolutions.co.uk although very young and hasnt been fully updated (quite obviously) it could be one to watch considering I got my imported Jap bulb that I couldnt find anywhere else for £22.66 including VAT and wait for it, next day delivery, I was quite impressed, they knew their stuff when I spoke to them too. I have made the (momentous) decision to convert from auto to manual. After having an auto for 3 years and gradually upgrading engine & suspension i now reckon the time has come to convert because the manual surely offers that much more control, involvement and power. What's the opinion on the forum? Am I the first in the UK? If you have dunnit, are you pleased you did? P.S. See my auto box in the sale/wanted forum.
