Just got a replacement radiator cap as my Z is overheating again intermitantly and the one i've been given says 1.2 on it as against 0.9 on my old one. Had a quick read of the service manual CD and there's a section on testing the cap and to make sure it opens at 0.9 bar - It says radiator damage may result if too high a release pressure! Has my "trusty" Nissanmaindealer given me the wrong part to earn some more cash?! Part I was given is 21430-54P00 but I can't see the part number in the service manual. Any ideas?

Has anyone approached a broker to see if a 'club' insurance policy could be set up? How many people would use it off this group if it was cheaper? Would have to be quite a few for it to work. I might have a contact that I can chat with. Need to gauge reaction first, might also mean that the 300 forum has to be turned into a 'proper' club. Let me know guyz before I open me gob Tim

Ok, Now I've never been one to be obsessed with keeping the underside of my bonnet obsenely clean. A quick steam clean and I'm happy. However, after seeing Jeff's Platter of gleeming plastic, rubber and metal, it has left me some-what purturbed. Therefore.....JEFF.....I have gone and purchased myself 3 tooth brushes and an obsene amount of kitchen towel and will be investing in some carb cleaner too. Before I begin, does anyone have any other suggestions that could make me even more psychotically tapped?

Hi dude! KPH/MPH conversion! 2counties (Charlie and Tim) only ever change the face of the clock fur 2 reasons: 1. Its cheaper they pay about £15.00 est for a clock face (i think you'll find it wont be just a sticker but a proper replace face)!! 2. This is more important! Your speedo although now shows MPH is still effectively KPH your just lookin at a fudged indication therefore youre odometer is still clocking in Kilometers not miles! ~This means they dont touch youre odometer at all ie they sell as 93000km on the odometer they are not by law allowed it to wind the clock back even to convert it back to the equivalent miles which would be approximately 57799mi…

As most of you know, I dismantled my 300ZX a few months ago due to its many faults. I've sold about two thirds of the cars parts thanks partly to the Z forum. I've been offered another Z at a cheap price due to it being a stolen recovered car with a few bits missing. Seeing as I've now got the "knack" of how to sell the parts, I've decided to buy it if I can negotiate a good enough price. So hopefully I'll be dismantling that car too. Its a 1992 J reg UK spec twin turbo automatic with black leather and grey bodywork. It is completely standard, including the wheels. I think the exhaust is standard, but I'm not sure. The black leather drivers seat is slightl…

I'll let you know when its …

I would guess that at some time in the past, msut have been in Japan as I'm the first UK owner, that my entire engine compartment has been spayed with some sort of laquer or varnish. Now of course it looks disgusting with flakes and chips al over the place. Does anyone else with a Jap Import suffer the same problem ? And has anyone got any smart ideas for removing this crap ? Blasting it with an airline sometimes removes it on bits of flexible rubber, but it's over paint, wiring, plastic, engine etc etc

Was just wondering where you got your wheels ? Tried a few different places, but could only get them in 9x18 for the rear, but yours are 9.5 Also, did you have any problems getting them to fit. Guy I spoke to reckons 35mm offset for the fromt and 45 at the back - seems odd.
