Right, I can use the Kirk for obvious reasons...this one is a blast! Last Friday on me way home I was on the A5 which is a lovely fast section of road. Loadsa round-a-bouts to navigate and dual carriageway on this stretch. So the order of the day is usually, cain it...slow down sharpish...round-a-bout...cain it...slow down etc. etc. You get the idea! Anyway, Kirk is in need of some serious servicing and is behaving like a naughty school boy at the moment! NOT GOOD! I'm on the inside lane approaching a large round-a-bout thingy, two young and fit girlies in outside lane in VW Golf, we get round the round thing and I'm in inside lane coming up on a car r…

It has just occured to me that all the truble i have been having,ie changeing a perfectly good PTU ect, that the problem only happend the day after i cleaned my engine bay.You see iam thinking becourse today i had my Z pluged in at Nissan, they said as well as the line pressure solenoid valve being one option, they also listed that there could also be a harness or connector problem which is alowing the solenoid circuit to remain open or shorted. So the question i would like to know is there any solenoid CONNECTORS in the engine bay that i may have disturbed.I need to know this before i comence with any gear box spesialists(sorry cant spell)Thanks for thouse who have helpt…

Washing the car and discoverd a full door length scratch on the passeger door. Like its a nasty wavy line, spent best part of an hour cutting and mopping, finally polished up and all but a 1" bit gone thank crikey. What is it with these people?? its obvious that some nut has done it deliberate, I park it in two car places in car parks and the like to avoid knocks but you can`t stop vandals, I give in,wish I caught the little B??tard. Hi took my Z to be pluged in at Nissan to day the engine was given clean bill of health,so that means i waisted £400 fucking quid at my local gararge trying to put it right,BASTARD!!!!!! Any way the problem for my Z ocasionly lossing power is the Auto gear box (WHAT?),the read out says the following,"TCM detects an improper voltage drop when it tries to operate the solenoid valve" The check list is as follows,"Harness or connectors,(the solenoid circuit is open or shorted.)Or line pressure solenoid"that is what it says word for word.I spoke to a guy called Bob at a company in Notts called Oak dean,he says this does not have to mean the gear box has to come out, some ti…

I want someone not to far from me to pop my engine out/in with new turbos. I'm on the M40, near Junction 4. If you have an idea of the costs, please post them too (just the labour not the parts) Any other reccomendations welcome, not interested in SE. Cheers.

I'm thinking of getting the wide arch kit and round light conversion and want some WIIIDE wheels to go with it. Whats the widest you can get with these kits? I'll be getting new 18's or 19's I think - what size do the Bridgestones go up to? I've got 17" 255's at the back now and they don't look wide anymore!! The Z is going to be a weekend car when I get expensive rubber.

Hi guys i have done alot of electrical conection cleaning to day ready for tomorrows plug in at nissan derby.Well i was cleaning the crank angle senser terminals and after very close inspection, the very center of the unit there is a Mitsubisi symble, why? This is clearly the Mitsubishi three star symble so i am wondering being that a nissan part is around £280 if my memory serves me well,i wonder what the same Mitsubishi one would cost and does the Z share any other common parts with other model cars, maybe these parts are cheaper.I dont know you tell me,but what model car does the Z CAS come from.Chas
