Hello all, I Was driving back home on the dual carraigeway from a business meeting at about 10 last night, cruising along at 70 listening to tom petty when a modified GTi-R (HKS Super Drager exhaust, 18" wheels) pulls up behind me, very rudely beeps his horn, and overtakes me accelerating hard. This guy obviously had no respect for the Z, so it was time to teach him some . I floored the Z (which is misbehaving again due to timing being off), the autobox kicked down, and I caught up. On seeing me in his rearview mirror the GTI-R guy drops a gear and floors it (not too hard to miss with the noise coming from that exhaust) and the GTI-R pulls slowly away from the…

Taken from the AutoExpress.co.uk site... Well, they certainly kept this one quiet! The surprise star of last week's Tokyo Motor Show was Nissan's next-generation GT-R sports car. Only hours before its debut, the company wouldn't confirm its supercar was waiting in the wings. But with the silver paintwork barely dry, Nissan president Carlos Ghosn unveiled the flagship concept. Rest assured it will be built, and when it hits Europe, probably in two years, will be badged GT-R. The familiar Skyline name won't appear as that's reserved for a four-door model, the 300 GT. That goes on sale in the US next year and should come to Europe in 2003. As with previous GT-Rs,…

Spoke to you guyZ about a knocking noise. Turned out it was the center bearing on the drive shaft. My local garage fitted a new one, changed the break fluid and checked the break system all for the great price of £262 including VAT. Did a great job and was chuffed to bits to work on, as he said it "a fantastic car". Is good when a mechaninc gets a little pleasure from his work. Tim

As some of you may already know, I had a Superchip fitted before I joined this forum. Obviously if I had read the comments on here first I wouldn't have touched one with a shitty stick! If I wanted to change to a JWT chip, what would I need to purchase? I already have bleed valves from the Superchips install to regulate the boost, along with Turbo Technics hybrids, HKS exhaust and de-catted centre pipes. I suppose what I'm really asking is: Can I just purchase the chip by itself? Do Superchips socket the ECU so that I can just slot a new chip in? Do I need to send my ECU off coz I can't afford to be without a working car? Cheers everyone. Mike

Mods currently waitting to be installed JWT ECU (tuned for 98 Octane) BLITZ SBC-ID & PowerMeter Blitz Intake Triflo 2.5" pipe and quad 4.5" oval tips And something that I expect to kick some ass LEVEL-10 PTS Torque Converter [3000 Stall speed]. I have done a research on TT.net and I send some emails around and everybody told me that I should expect 05 to 1 sec drop 1/4 from the Torque Converter. This depends how well I lanch the car. Not too much mods but I guess should do the job. Everything else is stock. Then I can race that blue Turbo Porsche 2000 model on my neighbourhood If not then I sell the bitch and buy a skateboard.…

Hopefully this will be a simple one for the tech guys to answer. My car has an additional gauges fitted in the space below the stereo. Two of the gauges are for amps and volts, neither was working and on inspection found neither to be connected except the lights. I assume that to get the volt gauge working all I need is an ignition fed live and an earth (correct me if I’m wrong). I’m not sure where to get the feed for the amp gauge though, can I connect into the existing loom behind the panel or will I need to run new wires. Thanks. Steve

I'm just playing with this idea at the moment but, I've had a couple of people interested in the removable tow bar that I've made. If I were to offer a kit of all the hardware welded and made up, all electrics and fitting instructions, how many people would be interested, the price inc. p&p would be about £120? Please note that at present it is designed for use on a J'Spec bumper, i.e with the square number plate. I will offer the drawings/specifications foc, as well, just as soon as I've done them Let me know guyz Tim
