Iain(MAC1) posted a pic to me in another thread if you wanna see what they look like. If you want one let me know on this thread, I'm ordering one from Smithy but usual thing, more orders less we pay! Price around the 125 squid mark, take into account that the Navan Auto shifter is nearly 500 squid from Stillen in the US...you can't get them here, and this one looks nicer IMHO. When I got my car back from SE I found one roof bag behind the passenger seat and was well chuffed at having one, but miffed I hadn't got both! Bummer! But I was swapping my ECU chips over at lunchtime, got the ECU in my hand but I only had screwdrivers on me, no sockets or spanners to undo the bolt holding the plug in...ARSE!!! Then it occurred to me that the Z comes with a toolkit, so I pop the boot and locate a set of pliers...excellent I think, but there was another similar bag in a scrumpled up ball with the toolkit bag! Well I never! The second targa bag...yipeeeeeee! Sorry SteamyZ mate, but I won't be needing your bags now Good job I didn't go…

Does anyone know if the Auto dipstick tube were loose would this cause fluid loss when driving or stationary? Smoking problem on my car, at first it appeared to look like it was coming from behind the engine, maybe gearbox area. However, after looking underneath the car yesterday smoke is coming from the exhaust around the H pipe area and wafting the length of the car and up the firewall. I have got vibration between certain speeds, car was smoking before SE so don't bother going there! Does it sound feasible that transmission oil is leaking out the rear main seal and is only noticeable when the car is stopped as it's burning up on the hot zorst?

I've posted this before, but never had an answer, thought that I'd try again: Has anyone come across an idiots guide to replacing the small window guide between the door frame and the glass, you know, the one that attaches to the back of the glass and runs up and down in the groove. It's bugging the hell out of me as the window 'pops' out of its seal at about 110. Hopefully someone out there can help. failing that how easy is it to strip the door down to get to it? Can someone also give me some part numbers. Thanks Tim

Andy was sitting having a right laugh over the topic about forum & the tone of the site last night. The problem you have is all this testosterone flying around - think I might have arrived at just the right time - help the male/female balance!!!!!!! PS - Booking new baby into Hiteq for full service and once over - is it in safe hands? Quoting £450 - hows that sound? Any other places I should enquire before I book? 15 FACTS (YOU WISH) YOU DIDN'T KNOW 1. Every year, parks in London alone are doused in one million gallons of dog urine. 2. The germs present in human faeces can pass through up to ten layers of toilet paper. 3. The best (?) recorded distance for projectile vomiting is 27 feet. 4. Contrary to popular belief, if you swallow chewing gum it does not stay in the gut. Usually it will pass through the system and is excreted without incident. However, several cases have been reported where the gum has stuck in the rectum, causing the unfortunate sufferer to excrete long sticky trails of gum, like a pink spider's web. 5. Several well-documente…

While I've been driving slowly because of the shitty weather I can hear more noises from the car than usual, the noise that worries me is when I engage the clutch and the pulll away slowly I hear a dull THUD from sort of behind me like something is engaging, is that normal, is that just the clutch, I never heard it before but then I usually have the music on to high. Sound s like somebody hitting the rear axle?? wierd. no2. I still have a metalic squeak from o/f/front wheel, I've had the brake stripped down and cleaned, but the noise is still there, could this be the wheel bearing on the way out?? Cheers JOHN
