So, I had my coilovers fitted today on the Zed. Anyway, after the garage had fitted them I took the originals home and noticed something on the parts which I hadn't seen when the car had been on the ramps. I thought the car had just standard shocks/springs since they were so rusty... I noticed some green beneath the rust and after having Teins on my previous Zed, I thought I would investigate... Ta da! They were Teins after all! And I didn't know this in the slightest! So, it looks like these could be useful to someone. So, I am thinking a good clean and stripping down might result in usable Teins again. Does anyone think this is a good id…

Morning everyone, i now have a problem since my came belt and water pump change, this has never happened before so unless its just coincidence or something was knocked during the work undertaken. Busses and all sorts waiting to get by but luckily there was a place behind me. Tried starting but wouldn't just turned and turned without firing for about 5 mins of trying then it started, as from earlier automatic choke still on as it was idling about 1 n half usually afterwards it drops down to just beneaty 1000 but it was rough idlin…

Hey guys, I've run my MX5 with a welded diff for over a year now. I love it, it makes the car so much better handling in every area and situation in my opinion. Now it comes to the 300... I've had it sideways a couple of times now, initiation is good, keeping it is less easy than I'd like, and exit is f**king diabolical. Mine is the manual LWB TT, so it has the 3.7 VLSD as standard. When leaving a drift it acts like an open diff, which is every bit as dangerous as an open diff. I'm seriously considering welding it unless you insanely knowledgeable people can back up my fears. The drivetrain can handle it effortlessly, as can the quality of my welder'…

Hi all. Just wanted to say thank you to Jeff TT for sorting the parts for me ;) . And all the rest of you that have helped me with my zed in the past few months. now she's had her cambelt ( pulleys n tentioners) and water pump and oil sender fitted, hopefully now i will be out of trouble for a while and have peace of mind. But i still have this oil pressure problem, even with the new oil sender unit, im still getting a reading of just over 4 when started from cold and then drops down to just above the zero. is there something else i can check? or is that just how its meant to be? oil and filter was changed at the time of the cam belt. lookin…

After get the zed I have not had the time to even think about her. So after being sat for a while I started her tonight. Flat battery but started as soon as she was hooked up. Let her sit and run but got up to temperature quicker than she should (10/15mins at idle) Kept an eye on it then the fan sounded like it was working overtime. Let her keep ticking for another 15/20 mins and maintained temperature at just under halfway but leaked coolant somewhere from the back of the engine (can't see to much due to the dark). Since I got her the heaters never blew out hot air but did the easy check the footwell but bone dry so likely this leak is the cause of that? A…
