I have what I think is a shagged strut top - this being the rubber/metal composite mount between the strut support and the shock. I get like a mild squelch noise over rough ground, so assume rubber deterioration. There are a number of parts it consists of. If anyone has had theirs go, what parts did you find had failed/weakened? I think it's either this, the strut top : Or this, the insulator:

Had the car remapped last year by Nos, but its still kicking crap loads of black smoke when you stick your foot down and so obviously over fueling still, but i have one 02 sensor thats working and the other that isnt, so was wondering if anyone has used these o2 sensors? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MERCEDES-BENZ-NISSAN-BMW-CHEVROLET-CHRYSLER-3-WIRE-WIRES-O2-OXYGEN-LAMBDA-SENSOR-/181129659634?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Car+Make%3ANissan|Model%3A300+ZX&hash=item2a2c2b44f2 and how good they work, although they are cheap so might just get some and see, cant be worse than what ive got at the present moment in time lol

Hi guys, the engine wiring loom on my 300 is proper shafted (the ecu loom part), after trying 3 looms, which was probably due to removing them from previous engines and un settling them. As you can understand probably i am having no luck on getting my car started again i have decided to make a fresh loom from near enough scratch baring using the old connectors?? Firstly i aren't bothered about the wires being colour coding as its not coming off again if i can help it.... just to clarify that!! What gauge wires would i need to use? is there more than one size of wire on the loom? have any of you guys got any advice?

Hi everyone, My Z has recently developed a whirring noise. It's clearly heard on cold start ups when sitting in the car. Its not constant but on and off with seconds intervals. Once warm, the sound does calm down. Inspection showed that its not coming from the engine itself but at front around the top right cam cover area. Perhaps even behind the cover. The link below has a video of it and you can clearly hear the crackling/whirring as the camera gets close to the cam covers. http://s1020.photobucket.com/user/streetrider007/media/IMG_2624_zps4dab934d.mp4.html Any thoughts on this?? Best wishes, Zee.

I wrote a while ago about an issue I was havin with the car pulling away in second sometimes and not wanting to change up from there. I originally thought it was down to the hid's I fitted as it first started after they were installed. I refitted the original bulbs and it stopped for a while but it is now back. it doesn't happen all the time and it only happens from start up. if I turn the car off and on again it usually goes away and all is fine. it did it this morning as I was leaving for work but this time I noticed that the power light was flashing for a short time. I didn't count how many flashes there were as I wasn't expecting it. does this mean that th…

What do you guys think of this? This must be a rebuild of a stock block... New original T25 stock turbos as well. Surely an old zed wouldn't take this? Here is the link: http://specialtyz.com/blog/?p=441

Anybody up for entering again this year. Was a good laugh last year and we almost had a team of 5. Just thought I'd throw it out there early on to spark some interest. Cheers Danny

I was coming back from Basingstoke Sunday afternoon, just entering the 40mph section of the road heading toward Reading, saw a white fairly standard looking 300ZX pass me in the other direction. I was in the Silver Slicktop :batman:

I have just installed the above into my Z and it's great! Am like a dog with 2 and possibly even 3 c***s I just walk upto the car with the fob in my pocket and as I get within 2m of the car the doors unlock When I get in the car if I put my foot on the brake the start button flashes green and when I press it the car starts, pressing again will stop it If I'm just wanting to switch the acc on while in the car I just press the button once without touching brake and the button goes blue and acc is on. Press again and goes off I then get out of the car and walk away, listening to the clunk of the locking as I shuffle more than 2m away from the car. The fob has…

...would anyone in the Bristol area possibly be willing to collect some seats for me please, if need be? The catch is: I don't want them! I only want the front seat rails, so whoever collected them could scrap the rest or sell them on or whatever. Obviously, I'd pay the cost of the seats and the postage of the rails to me and some beer money for helping me out. Anyone fancy the task...?

Anybody know if the tops are different from the bottoms. My door leans out at the top causing a bad seal on the rubber. I did have a new set put on(allegedly) years ago and there was no change. So i`m wondering if they did do the job they fitted them incorrectly. I tried adjusting them inwards but no joy.

I'm in the middle of fitting a Sard adjustable fuel pressure regulator to my zed. Those of you running an adjustable fpr...where have you put it? Ideally I'd have thought it could do with going somewhere near the fuel filter but I can't think of how to put it so that I can still access it to adjust it and be able to see the pressure gauge in the side of it. I'm thinking I might have to put it right over the other side by the fuse box. Have any of you got any pictures showing where you've put yours?

Hey everyone, It was actually warm today, couldn't believe it. the Zed came out for a play for a few hours, and although I should have washed her I was enjoying driving around too much. Here are some snaps from the day... Anyone else managed to get out and take any photos etc? Also, really enjoying the new Volks F-Zero wheels, although they need a refurbish I think they set off the car really well with the less-is-more look. Best, W
