Not only have I got a bolt missing but on closer inspection I don't have any gasketts or even sealant of anykind between the two surfaces! WTF is that all about? Is this bad??? Oh well, looks like a trip to Nelson at the weekend with a list of parts that I need. Bummer!

As I need the 2 screws and 2 screw covers from the top of the centre console at the top of the air inlet, triangle shaped plastic covers. Let me know if I would be able to 'piggy back' (Thanks to AndyP for such a technical term) on one of your Courtesy orders. Well after many months of faxes, mails, phone calls managed to source a manufacturer of the Indiglo dials who doesn't want a fortune to set up, so these will be UK spec dials, will not take ages to arrive, price is not certain yet, but i'm happy with estimate, more good news is we have a bit of a free run on designs for the face, logo's etc, so what do you fancy, a nice big Z across the 2 main dials, i'm no good at this part, so please those interested, do some nice logo for them and lets see what we can have, incase of any negative vibes here, i have sourced some from the states, the quality and spec are no good to us, but will help towards having our UK ones making up, …

HELP ME!!!!!!! MY TT V6 Z IS DEAD. I STARTED THE CAR THIS MORNING AND DROVE ABOUT 2 MILES DOWN THE ROAD AND THEM MY REV COUNTER WENT TO 0 AND THE ENGINE STOPPED. I TRIED TO START THE CAR ON THE KEY, BUT IT’S LIKE THERE IS NO FUEL OR SPARK. I TRIED TO BUMP START THE CAR DOWNHILL, NO JOY. CALLED THE AA. Brought it yesterday for me and my two boys,lots of interesting special features including the origional magazine artical that inspired the director to make the film,The artical opening page is all about a race between a 300zx and a starion,very good reading and the Z wins and goes on to race and win another challanger. So why i wonder was the Z not included being it was a major player in the origional artical that gave the director the idea for the film,what a shame.Chas

My insurance for an import TT only cost £530 for fully comprehensive. Well, they didn't ask me whether it was a UK car or an import so in my view, that's their problem. How the hell am I supposed to know that one is more expensive than the other! That's up to them to ask me that don't you think?!!! How can they justify charging more anyway? There's no difference in performance or in the safety aspect is there? If anything, an import should be safer therefore cheaper because when you buy one, they're restricted to 120mph & also you've got that silly thing that bongs at you to let you know you're over 67mph!!! Today my Z suddenly started missing really bad and gradually lost power over a couple of minutes backfired a lot and stalled. The car would not start again and just cranked and spluttered. Left it for 5 mins and it fired up again. 2 minutes later it did the same thing again and has been the same all the way home this afternoon. I pushed the PTU and coil connectors in but no difference - just seems to need a 5 minute break! Any ideas?

Guys, I know the light thing kicks around a bit, here's my sixpennorth. Just before the Poole meet I changed my dip lamps to 130W. OK, so technically it's illegal, but by God I could see where I was going. Didn't do the main because a:never get to use them and b: they are a serious pain in the arse to do. However, that's bye the bye. Yesterday, one of the new lamps blew on the way home. At least, I hope it was the lamp. So, power to much for the heat dispersion or something. Back to the basics, perhaps JeffTT's mod may be the only way to go.!!!!

Hi guys Computer packed up recently and is going to cost upwards of £100 to fix, now its getting a bit dated only 5 gig and 266mmx pent II. So my reconing is that is not worth spending money on it - but the screen and keyboard etc is fine. Main requirements is internet access and enough power to play wolfenstein and half life (ithink 700 and above should be plenty) DVD while an advantage wouldn't be top of my list. So what sort of money should I be looking at and where are the best places to go - second hand, recon etc is fine. Thanks in anticipation Mark

Having carried out all the tests and diagnostics I can think of I am forced to conclude the auto box has a mechanical fault. Since the box changes to third and fourth when the throttle is released but drops back to second as soon as I touch the throttle I can’t believe that there can be anything too major gone wrong and I know that a lot of auto box repairs will stitch me up for a complete rebuild! Can anyone recommend a good auto trans repairer who knows the Z set-up or is there anyone on the forum who knows these boxes and wants the job? Preferably in the south but I can travel (slowly) if necessary.

hi guys, there is a cerain mom steering wheel that I really like. my question is... how do I fit a new sterring wheel without loosing the control for the "cruise control"? set-coast-res (or whatever they are ai can't remember) PLUS the horn... I know you can buy those plates that go behind (I think) the new wheel and have one or 2 buttons... but can I use fit up to 4 buttons for the 3 cruise one and a horn... maybe all replacemenet wheels already have the central logo-horn button? thanks

Is any one else having problems getting onto Hotmail. I cant get onto my account and I cant log onto messenger using that hotmail account, but I can log on with another one. Any one with the same problem here? Stuart

1. Anyone know how the plastic covers are meant to be attached? Both mine have sheared off (have sourced replacements from AndyZ) and I have no idea how they are supposed to be taken off / put on. 2. Any ideas why when I press the headlamp wash button the windscreen wipers start? Dunno if they're meant to do this and, to be honest, I don't even know if anything comes out the lamp squirty things as I can't see them when I'm driving... Any ideas?
