This is weird I can use web no problem but as soon as I try to go to www.autometer.com My computer either reboots itself or I get the Microshaft blue screen of death. It does the same it i type the url or click a link. But no other site does this to me. If I get the blue screen and manage to continue i cannot view any more pages and have to log off and back on again. How can a website cause a system error on your PC???? ------------------

Hi guys, I've just been to see a poorly Zed of a colleage of mine and need to bounce some ideas off you guys to see if I'm heading in the right direction. These are the symptoms: 1. Car is very difficult to start 2. Idles EXTREMELY rough and stalls after a while (if you don't keep your foot on the accellerator) 3. ConZult ECU codes results - 13 (Coolant system) & 34 (Detonation sensor) 4. ConZult sensor reading - engine temp is very slow to climb to operating temp (took about 1/2 hour at 1500rpm to climb to 68C) 5. under light load (while stationary) there is obvious detonation (but not all the time) The ECU code 34 is not a worry as (a)the…

Replaced the PTU and the coilpack that was broke today (thanks phil!). Fired her up and its not a bit better. So then, onto the fuel system. Im presuming the signal from the CAS goes to the ECU where it is processed and the injectors are then pulsed... IS there any chance it could be a CAS problem? Could a bad connection cause it form the CAS? If there was a bad CAS connction would it not show up as a fault on the ECU? Has anyone ever had an injector stuck? People who have had upgraded injectors... how much does it coat to have them changed? How can you test the injectors? IVe heard of testing the resistance across them, listening to t…

so i bought some targa blinds from a jap 2+2 zed and they dont fit! they measure 15.5 by 22 inches. my targa roof along the front edge as you look up from the drivers seat (edge that runs from left to right and mates with the windscreen edge) has a thick plastic strip runnning along it, on both screens. this strip sticks out and the blind wont is too long and overlaps this strip so the blinds cannot hten be attached. it appears that (if you made sense of my description) i need targa blinds that are 15.5 by 20 inches! does anyone else have these plastic strips on their targa roofs?

This is through no choice of my own by the way. I bought a pipe radiator heat sink and fan and use premium silver heat sink compound. However the heatsink was too big an left wouldnt fit becuase my PSU was in the way. So I took out the PSU and put it on top of the computer to leave room and then just needing a larger case. Anyway, the PSU didnt last long and went POP in a very big way. So now I needed a PSU and a case. I went to Scan and bought a lovley all aluminium, with a hit of carbon, case and a 350WATT PSU. The case has 3 large extracting fans inside to get a nice air flow going and they have filters to keep out all the dust. The result is, after £120 on cas…

If there is a good reason for this then please contact me to let me know. Hi All, Spoke to a guy at the local tyre/exhaust place about decatting my front pipes. He started umming and arring about pipe diameter and lambda sensors. Two questions: 1. What diameter are the stock front pipes on a 1990 Jap auto? 2. Is any special consideration needed for the lambda sensors or will the engine management compensate for them being disconnected? 3. Ooops, I know I said two - I seem to remember somebody mentioning some hoses running from the pipes - what are they and can they be blanked off?? 4. (taking the p*** now!) has anyone got any aftermarket decat pipes for sale?? Cheers!! RobH

I got my JWT ECU at the same time as the new JWT turbos/injectors were bought so the programming was done by JWT to match that setup. Since then I will have added decat pipes, larger intercoolers, boost controller (instead of JWT supplied boost jets) and I am running on Optimax fuel. Finally the engine was replaced with one from a manual UK 1994 car, the original was an auto Jap import 1991. 1. Do I need to get the JWT chip re-programmed and can a good UK tuner do this to the JWT chip or does it have to go back to JWT? 2. To save this happening again would I be better off replacing the JWT chip with a Unichip or SE nissan chip and having the chosen new one re…

hi, just wondered if anyone could explain these boost jets as i cannot get my head round how they work, right bear with me, i've had a turbo car before and when i got that chipped it was fitted with a bleed valve to fool the wastegate into thinking it was at a lower boost than it actually was..(by bleeding off some of the boost) right, but with these boost jets i can see there would be a restriction initially resulting in higher boost, but over a period of time the pressures would stablize either side of the jet, which would mean a drop off in boost back to standard????????? sorry but just can't seem to get my head round the idea thats all. hope you can help me out…
