oh, I reckon my Z's bang on 7. It's an auto 1990 TTZ with an HKS intake and Apexi exhaust.....

Nissan say

5.2 0-60 for 2 seater

5.6 0-60 2+2

Stuart

7 seconds???? Think you may well be in safety boost or stuck in hold mode on the box!!!! I did a timed 5.5 sec 0-60 so it is possible - UK '91 TT Manual running stock at the time...

CheerZ,

Andy

mmmm...it revs to the redline when kicked-down and boosts around 0.6bar....hmmm...

knackered gearbox? It feels ok though...

6 secs dead with 0-60 timer as stock without frying the clutch

I feel the need, the need for speed!

Is it maybe the US TTNet site that lists loads of stats?

Mainly for manuals but I think it puts an auto tested by Road and Track at 5.9. Various manuals from 5 - 6 seconds and the Stillen chipped intaked and exhausted GTZ down in the 4.7ishs

UK 1990 Autocar puts a stock manual at 5.6

You have to remember as well that car firms might just might be giving road testers a slightly tweaked one and road testers think nothing of dropping clutches at 5-6000rpm etc etc

Just enjoy it and forget the stats

Willie

Dropping clutches at 5-6000 revs will result in a huge wheel spin wink.gif

ive had ????about??? 5.2-5.6 that was running once at 17 psi????

cant be 100 percent but my timer was what timed me!

at 14 psi ive had about 6 secs or just over

You aint gonna get any time unless you run thru a proper timing loop or some shit like that, all these tectom bollocks timer shit things, even gps isnt good enough to say i got 5.756656 seconds 0-60.

What does it matter what 0-60 time speed is anyway? youll never reach the same time consistently anyway, just be assured you are probably likely to beat most things off the line if you are a decent driver.

Anyways, its in gear times that count, more... smile.gif

and top speed is useless too, big fucking hoo ha you can go XXX mph, that is so cool aint it, you hit that speed once then never do it again, dont know why most people use top speed as a marker for cars, i mean, its the most useless stat ive seen! heheheh 0-60 is getting pretty useless nowadays too!

im off now, see you

AY3388 is right in the real world nobody races to 60 then hits the brakes same as you cant sit at your max speed except for a little blast as your only gonna get so far before your nicked and it will be a huge ban and possibly porridge if your a ton over the limit (but would make some great newspaper cuttings to put in your scrapbook smile.gif )

I think if you have a car that pulls really hard from about 40 to 130 then your gonna be the winner 99% of the time. Ive blew cars away before then instantly backed off when ive hit say 120. If they then want to come screaming past half a mile down the road then thats fine, they already know they have lost wink.gif

In a recent article, an Autocar road tester of the time reckoned that "their" road test car had been "tweaked" by Nissan, so as to give more impressive performance figures. This was backed up by terrible fuel consumption figures which were never achieved again on a subsequently slower car, tested later!

Official figures were:....

Manual 5.9secs!

Automatic 7.5 secs! biggrin.gif

Of course it was tweeked you fool every manufacturer does it not just Nissan.

I wouldn't say every manufacturer does...FOOL! biggrin.gif...But certainly a lot of turbo cars never fulfill the manufacturers and road testers claims, in standard spec.
