General Discussions - 300ZX Related

had the rear shocks replaced to pass the MOT bout two months ago, though Ive noticed the left rear side is slightly higer than the left, also when I push down on the rear left it doesn't feel like there is any play in the shock. The shocks are Nissan standard bought from SE. Any ideas before I take it back to the people that did the job cheers rob

Fitted my exhaust from GPS today, fitted perfectly. Sound very similar to mongoose ones I've heard, but as mine is SWB, couldn't get a mongoose system. Seems to have cured the flat spot I had over 5.5k, now revs up to 7 cleanly, well chuffed. Worth a look if you've got a SWB.

in stressed out neighbour moment I have put water in the air con filler tube ! What going to happen - can I still drive the car - and where do I empty the fluid so I can put proper coolant back in. feel like a complete ****

I am looking to replace the water hoses on my Z, I am looking a Samco Hoses, but they only seem to sell 2 of them in the kit. Is this all that is required??

Hmmm, seems my hoota don't work. The horn solenoid is operating fine so, I assume it's the connection between that & the horns. Just one problem... I can't seem to find them! Anyone have any idea where they're located? ------------------

I have just bought a 1990 ZX import. The car is great but would appreciate some help. The front tyres are 235/45 ZR 17 the rear 265/40 ZR 17. Has anybody any ideas on what the correct (or correct ish) tyre pressures should be. I am currently running at about 30 pound per sq inch all round. Thanks Chris

Hi im new to all this so plz bear with me I own a 200sx and am selling it to purchase a 300zx TT , I just need some help so i dont mess it all up , Ive located a ZX on a L plate UK model 90,000 miles for £5.500 but am not getting a warranty, Its white and looks very clean but i will be visiting the dealership on thursday to maybe purchase the car but also seeing a few in the meantime , is this a good price for the car ? its one of the best i think ive seen around plz help me out lads as ive always wanted a 300zx TT but am worried about having probs as my friend did as he bought a G plate year 90 model and has had no end of problems cozting a lot of money…

If I measure the ciruit resistance at the connector behind the plenum, what should the it be both going the the senor and to the ECU?

I need the small plastic surge tank connected to the PRVR that sites under the passenger side front wheel arch. I broke one of the vacuum hose connections while changing it yesterday. What a bummer!!!

Just went to pick my brothe up from town only drove about 3 miles and my Z was roasting (temp guage at max) fan on the works, i nursed her home to hear her making a really loud gulping noise, its been making this noise before when i swith off but never this loud i know this is a pretty crap descpition and ive put it on the wrong forum but im not re writing it now, Anyone had anything simalar or know the likely cause? The choice had to be made sell the Zeds or get something for the wife and kids. Obvously a third car was required the Zeds were staying.I am looking at a 1996 1.8 petrol S40 volvo with 69K for £3100 Stg or a 1997 1.9 Turbo diesel wit 98K for £4700 Stg Anyone out there know anythin about these models? what to look out for or avoid alltogether. Hi guys! Got my Zed a coupla days ago. Unfortunately I can't make a lot of sense of the Japanese manual that came with it. Can someone tell me exactly what the 3 modes on the A/T switch do? I believe the 'Power' setting holds in each gear longer or something? No idea what the 'Hold' option does though. Help would be appreciated...

Hi all yesterday i removed my speed convertor, and shorted out a fuse. I have replace the fuse but now i have no Speedo and powersteering is still heavy. could i have blown the speed sensor by shorting things behind the dashboard? cheers Mick
