Not sure how it come about but approx four years ago my local garage fit me a Banner battery very similar if not a 068 type, it was the one down from the one they should of fit really according to the catalogue but it owes me nothing, as for most of this period I have been adding and fiddling with the car so hence flattening the battery on a constant basis and this took it's toll. The size of this Banner was 240mm in length, 175mm tall and in width, I think the one for my car they should of fit was 190mm or 202mm tall - enabling the stock clamps to fit. Below is a pic of said battery on the tray, please note I have removed the fins on either side of the tray - I…

i've just managed to get my spare laptop up and running with Scantech, Datascan and the freebie Conzult. and a thought struck me. Have we got a list of members who have this facility who are willing to hook it up to Zed's who can get there or would take it to imobile Zeds within reason.. If it does not exist put me down for it, I live in Meldreth, Between Royston and Cambridge. Rich

I would like to start at subject on BIG POWER clutches, as it looks like some have been dissapointed with "slipping" situations on new assemblies... Tomfromthenorth example recently is the risk I could face, and if ordering a clutch for self assembly, the involvement in return and exchange could be a difficult one! My experience on Z32 "boosted power type" is first from the red 300ZX TT from Gary (RIP) that I brought back to France. The engine was fully modified and Dyno runs were showing 505 Bhp at wheels. I never had any problem with clutch sliding, so I looked at the invoices to find the type installed. The model is a RPS Carbon-Carbon twin disk model, ful…

I'm having issues with my diff and I'm considering an NA swap. I know the NA swap gives a better acceleration over the TT, but with the sacrifice of top end. My question is, what sort of sacrifice am I looking at? I'm prepping it for the track / 1/4mile So just thought I'd ask.

well guys today while fettling wires under my dash i noticed that the steering column isn't attached to the plate that's bolted to the firewall so i can see light from outside in the engine bay, this strikes me as odd as i have no idea how it could've happened as the top is mounted correctly... only thing i have thought up is maybe it was replaced at one time with a swb one?? not sure if they are different though thanks

I'm looking into possibly a different bumper instead of the 99 spec but it's made of Frp: Fibreglass reinforced plastic. Is this different from just fibreglass bumpers? Looking at the twinz kit's thanks Dan

So its finally happening after been off the road for well over a year the zed is on Target for its refurbishment. Last year I started with doing all the underbody suspension stuff to make the ride more stable and after that I decided I wanted to do a full strip down to the bare shell and start from scratch to create a show quality z32. After much bad luck and many thousands of pounds wasted on rotted zeds i'm cracking on with the original plan. So as a quick update i'll post some older picks followed over the next few weeks by an overall progress report. Starting off with how she was when I first purchased her 3 years ago until the state she is now t…

why would this happen, in the morning or no matter what time of day, damp hot cold wet or dry i start the car up and here goes the fun starts, the car starts as it always has done on the button, really quick with a couple of quick cranks starts, ( perfect ) then with a cold car i drive down a raod that is exactly one mile long. i get to the end of these junction with the revs a tiny advanced cas of cold engine, nicly slow down rd 40 mph. then i turn left out of a t junction the right straghtr away then drive down the next road of witch is just over a mile long. half way down this road and in this time scale my car within minutes poss about three to four pendeng traffic s…

The car sailed through the mot..yay..then deciding i had been z less for too long i took the old girl out for the afternoon. This is when the tyre noise showed up.got to about 60 and the sound with windows down is almost like rubber flapp…

Gents after standing for two years had the zed out for a spin today was great to be back in the hot seat, a few niggles though... at first was running really poor, ok so I thought poor and old petrol so filled up with shell optimax, still running very poorly then realised my error, I had bought new tyres for the rear with a larger profile so this was making the racelogic traction thinking the wheels were slipping as I hadn't reprogrammed the racelogic for the new tyre sizes. so switched of the traction and it ran great, but then I noticed that the antilock light was up!!! hmm im thinking that as ive switched the traction off, it has that put th…
