Having taken a look through the electrical section of the manual (twice!) I am unable to find the drawing for the door harness, motors and switches. :cursing: Can anyone find it or know where I’m going wrong!

Well, Off work today so decided to try to convert my old rear lights to the '99 spec version. What a bitch!! The glue is the WORST stuff i have ever worked with (worse than silicone and Sikoflex put together). Couldn't get the cases apart properly. Finally managed to get one of them apart but then cracked the other one trying. They are now in the bin!! That is all. Peter

Hi guys, My zed is smoking, I have put a standard engine and turbos back in for this year and it did not smoke at all before the lump was pulled, When I 1st start it there's no smoke then on idle it will start to smoke a little, but if I drive it theres no smoke... But if I drive it hard on boost I get a puff of smoke, but if I drive it normal ish it does not smoke, It had cats before and now I've removed them im thinking they masked the smoke, Do you think it will mask it and stop it smoking for the summer if I refit cats, If it will I only have one cat has anyone got a spare cat.... Any help appreciated,

I have a problem with the front brakes sticking on. I have replaced the rear calipers with new ones and also fitted some braided brake lines. The front calipers have been stripped down and new seals and dust covers fitted, all the bores and pistons are good condition. I dismantled a good master cylinder and re assembled without using a refurb kit as it all looks good. The brakes continue to stick on even when cold so I'm guessing there is either a problem with the original rubber front hoses (both sides failing at the same time would seem odd) or maybe something wrong with the ABS pump?? I've also loosened the nuts on the master cylinder to cle…

I plan to replace the Drivers side turbo this winter, to do the job the engine is coming out. What else do you recommend doing whilst the engine is out? I am thinking cambelt and removing the numerous emissions nonsense... What else? Cheers

A couple of weeks ago, I took the Z down to Glastonbury to see my parents. As I was driving down Glastonbury High Street, a woman stepped out between 2 parked cars just as I drove past her. There was an almighty bang, I didn't even have time to brake. Well I pulled over and a nice family had gone to her aid. She was sat on the floor with a badly bruised leg, but was ok. The lady was Spanish and had looked the wrong way, saw that it was clear and just stepped right into the road at the wrong time! We spent some time making sure she was ok and she apologised for it and took full responsibility, she was quite a sweet lady and we made sure she could walk around and didn'…

Morning Chaps I had the faces on my guages replaced a couple of years ago and at the time we thought the needle was back in sort of the right place however it seems that its about quarter of a tank out. So I was wondering if I let the fuel get used until the light comes on, (if its not broke), then I could reposition the needle in a more accurate position. Hence the question, is the light triggered by the fuel level doofer in the fuel tank or is it triggered by the position of the needle on the guage ?

And so it starts, the joys of owning a Z, elation to depression in 3 days, my windscreen has developed a huge crack on the passenger side, It just appeared as I was driving, me thinks there must have been chip, but it started down in the corner where all the discs are displayed somi may have missed it. So a couple of questions please Are lwb and swb the same windscreen? Should 95 jap import be bronze tint? Would you fit a secondhand screen? Yes I have fully comp. With windscreen cover, but the insurance is just 3 days old. Thank you in advance

Looks like i'll be returning to the fold. Just won the Yellow Zed from ebay this morning and should be going down to get it on Saturday. Don't know if i'm crazy about the colour but seems in canny nick and colours can always be changed down the line. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121371804044?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 I know i'm taking a huge gamble by buying it without seeing it first but as long as the guy hasn't lied about anything on his listing then it should be a good buy. I'm about to recomission my Z ready for this years use lol, when I drove it back after being painted the further I drove the more it felt like clutch slip. It was about a 12 mile journey and by the time I got to my estate the revs were shooting up and the car really wasn't moving very much! Anyway roll forwards a couple of months and I finally got round to checking the oil level today the oil is clear with no burning smell, if anything it looks over-full as it's on all the dipstick even the hot part when the oil is cold. I do have a manual conversion to go in the car but struggling for time before some meets and shows this month so was hoping for an easy fix to …

As I can't do much at the moment (broken arm lol) been playing on ebay and ended up buying yet more wheels for my zed, They need refurbished so will change the colour. They are silver( even though they look gold) I was thinking gold or bronze... What does anyone think? They are going to be for road tyres, the cheap wheels on it now will have the r888's for track use. As they are all 8.5j. The wheels... The car.... Opinions please, want to get them done in time for the Coventry event

My Zed has been tucked up in the garage for the past year as I've had other priorties (saving for a house) so couldn't justify keeping two cars on the road. It's having an MOT done this afternoon so I'll have it back on the road for the summer while I decide what to do with it (keep it/sell it/spend money on it etc...). Can't wait to drive it again!

I took the day off to day and drove to a engineering place 45mile round trip I emailed them a few days before to see if they could make a load of braces like the one I have thinking it would be very cheap to made a load up and sell on for cost to you guys .the shop wanted £25 each to make copys of the one I have I would then have to buy longer bolts to bolt to car pack them up and post costs so would have been over £30 each so I know you wouldn't pay that shame its as the change in pedal feel is night an day they work very well. sorry chaps I did try. here is a pic of the one I use on my car

Hi all As many of you are aware I have been fitting (truing to fit) my new brembo kit evo 8 ones. Thanks to dan and a few others yesterday I managed to get off my crappy stiff bolts. Dans trick with a blow torch and mould grips for a rounded seized nut come off in seconds. Now I have bled the brakes with a one man bleeder kit that supposedly stops air going into the system. I waited until the clear tube on the kit was free of any air bubbles before tightening up the bleed screws I also worked from drivers side inner to outer then same on passenger side. With everything done up and resevoir cap back on I started the engine. Push the brake peda…
