  1. As title suggests I'm after replacing coolant hoses and boost hoses when my plenum comes off, preferably red one's but not a must. Anybody that's done this care to share their experience? what size do I need to buy and where is best. Also going to delete the egr system so where's best to get a kit from for that? Any help appreciated

Hi,going about fitting some decat downpipes and the existing pipes with decats have a inner locating ring where it is attached to the manifold downpipes, pretty sensible if you ask me. However the ones im fitting only have a flush face so will rely on the pressure exerted by the 3 bolts to make a seal, will this be sufficient? Rich

Hi guys, due to circumstances of change my insurance renewal this year won't include the storage of my car in a garage. Footman James who I have been with for the last 3 years as far as I'm aware stipulate that as a condition of the policy. Do any classic car insurance companies offer a policy without a garage being used? Insuring it as a normal car will double the premium to £390!

Well after a two month wait for my rear wheels I've finally got them all fitted along with my HSD coilovers and adjustable arms. And I must admit I'm in love with it again! It's totally transformed it and it's finally getting to where I want it. Wheels are Japan Racing JR12s. What do you think? Haterz gonna hate lol

Hi Chaps. For anyone that might be interested or for future Forum searches. I've just replaced my radiator as top connection has broken, really didn't want an upgraded item as I want to keep everything stock fitment and didn't want any issues with the radiator brackets not fitting or shroud issues and the like. Anyway, a genuine item is very expensive now from the UK, even CPZ in the US are charging $440! So I took a chance with this 'Nissens' pattern part from Ebay. It is advertised as a manual car radiator, but its actually either, obviously you just leave the auto cooler section capped if used on a manual car like mine. Quality and fitment are 99.9% perfec…

  10. A good friend of mine is a Trauma Consultant at Elgin Hospital, she responds to stuff so has had a few blue light Subarus. As a petrol head she treated herself to a brand new WRX STI after a sucsession of WRXs. As I ran her across to Aberdeen we spent the rest of the day playing in it and I drove it about 30 miles, on a top 10 driving road  with only about 100 miles on the clock. The bloke said they are pre run in, but we didn't kick the arse out of it, however we sympathetically started to wake the beast :) It was a very good car, the most obvious quirk of the car is it's very heavy, quick and feelsome steering. I have never driven a performance 4WD and was…

  11. As title states, I am just wondering what the going rate is for a 99 spec front bumper in good condition with all the fogs and indicators? I'm not selling (just yet) but am just weighing up my options.

This is probably aimed at anyone who has done a complete engine strip down or has the indepth knowledge lol, but as i have a badly knocking cam on the right bank, im assuming oil starvation and as such is likely down caused by a blocked check valve or oil squirter up to the heads from the block. Options im looking at, i need to know if the check valve can be cleaned in situe, ie head off and access to the block or whether it has to be changed, or my easier option would be some sort of detergent to clean or unblock it and i can just change the cams and lifters without taking the heads off. Opinions or advice please. Cheers

  15. I will be travelling to Beaulieu via the M25 and M3 and could stop at the Cobham services (between J9 and J10 M25) if there are any others who would like to convoy down to the event and plan to go that way round the M25.

Hi. Purchased some metal door lock mechs to replace the broken brittle plastic ones. Fitted them fine but now can't get the door Handel to close fully. Been at this hours now. And even tried copying the other door but now that's gone the same. Seems to be something to do with the big metal arm which attaches itself to the Handel.

Well I took the green zed down to Jeff in mid-march for some niggling problems to be fixed, oil leak, ‘clunk’ in the transmission, noisy lifter and asked him to have a look at how bad the rust was that was starting to bubble through the rear quarter panels and especially some that had come to light when having the arches rolled for the Rota wheels. There was also some scuffing on the nearside rear where a tyre had blown and nearly come off the rim, and the paint had been scraped off the front nearside wing by a supermarket trolley. I’d also got the metal interior door lock thingy that I wanted him to fit. Whist it was down there, two supposedly electric seats came u…

Hi all and thanks for taking your time to look :) I bought a kit car a month ago which would barley run (3000 turbo engine). Now it wont start at all. ive changed fuel lines/pump/spark plugs/coil/afm/crank sensor/injectors and even the god damn loom. I have a spark on all six plug's but it does look a little week. I also checked voltage to coil and im getting 12.8v if I remove the afm and all the pipework I can get the car to fire with easy start or spraying petrol in , so to me it seems like an injector issue? which brings me to the injector sockets, if I check continuity on both ports to the earth of the car I get earth on both sides. which I presume is switc…

  21. Right guys, we're getting closer and closer to this event. I need to give the events organisers' a final expected list by the end of the week so that we can secure a plot big enough. We have about 20-25 cars from 350z-club, about 3 or 4 from Zclub.net and about 25 from here (some however aren't with their cars). Please see list below. If you're no longer able to attend, please advise asap, in addition, if your name is on the list and you're NOT taking your Z, please also advise asap. We're expecting a big turnout (40-50 cars), so the more accurate figures I can get, the better. Finally, if you'd like to come along and your name is not on the list, PLEASE advise asap.…

Going to start the plans to get the Zed back on the road, still haven't decided if the head needs to come off yet, but the plenum does to fix the water leak. so seen as though it's coming off, it's not gunna go back on the same. but struggling to decide what to do with it, The obvious choice would be to polish it, or even powder coat it chrome, but I'm worried it would be a Tw*t to keep clean. So I've thought maybe a nice black, grey or even a red. along with a contrasting rocker cover and throttle cover, and maybe timing belt cover. But can't decide, need some inspiration. So what have you got? Not even after similar colours to what would match mine, but j…
