Hi,going about fitting some decat downpipes and the existing pipes with decats have a inner locating ring where it is attached to the manifold downpipes, pretty sensible if you ask me. However the ones im fitting only have a flush face so will rely on the pressure exerted by the 3 bolts to make a seal, will this be sufficient?

Gasket will seal. You can use a bit of firegum

I've recently done this myself, no gaskets, couldn't get any locally, so just used losts of sealant. Haven't tested it yet though...

Go to any motor factors and ask for 2 Ford Transit downpipe gaskets (3 hole) 92 to 99 year....then take them home and enlarge 1 hole by 3mm and you have nice cheap ZX jobbies and easily available from any motor factors:winkiss:
