Fellaz, how hard is it to change the head gaskets on a TT Z? CheerZ

Easy one for ya! I want to fit an additional flashing bright LED just on top of the light cluster,this is it will flash but then both lights flash uneavenly?????? Is there a different way of wiring it other than + to + of the existing and - to - of the existing?????? Cheers

...strange this one... I've got the opportunity to test a new product being launched into this country from the US. Basically it adds platinum to the combustion process and offers abour 20% savings in fuel (its sold as a fuel-saving device) or alternatively about 10% extra power - and about 70% better emissions. RPS? ACT? Anything else to be considered? Is there one considered better or is it down to personal preference? I mean, are there any particular characteristics of either? I've tried to remove the rear disk (drivers side) of my Zed as it was squeaking like hell. For some strange reason it doesn't want to budge. I've slackened off the handbrake by turning that wheel in the rear hub but that didn't make any difference. I've even shown it the hammer :rolleyes: The passenger front & rear disks came off very easily!

Should the fan in the roof be on all the time ? Even when you first turn on the ignition without the engine running? What is the voltage of the fan current? Thanks John

Hi All, It's been a while since my last post... Damn it feels like a confession to the local vicar!! :D Anyway, I was wondering if you guys could advise me on 2 things... 1. How much of an increase in insurance is an import verses a UK. I know there are variations but a rough estimate would be great... 2. Just got my insurance renewal in today. Fully comp, legal cover, breakdown cover, 4000miles limited a year, car not garaged but parked up the drive ,no mention of a thatcham or otherwise, it is a classic and collectors policy, one named driver only,,, £247 !!! Bearing in mind its only used as a second car and I am rather old (ish) That doesnt sound too bad !! Unless any one can beat it ?? If so let me know, coz I have been with this company for a few years now and it might be worth shopping around. :dance: :dance:

Guy's, I have a strange missfire on tickover and upto about 2000 - 2500rpm. I Have swapped the coil packs about and this hasn't made a difference. I took the spark plug out to see what that was like and the end was black so I mire brushed it and cleaned it up and put it back it but no difference. The injector is firing fine. When I take the coil pack connector off it doesn't make any difference to the engine running like all the others do. I have heard it may be the PCV valves. I have done a visual inspection of these and the left bank one (where the missfire is) looks ok, but the right hand side one seems to be leaking oil (?!). Would that be making the difference? …

I'm going to replace the std stereo in my Jap 300. I'm afraid someone will break in to nick it cos it's got no face off etc. Any recommendations? ps. The Japanese must be great if no-one nicks stereos!

Hi there, Every now and again i go to start my Z and the starter motor screeches. Is this a common thing to go wrong ? and what would i be looking at for a new one when and if it goes caput :( Cheers jonce

I have cleaned the PTU connectors, the CAS connectors, the TPS connectors and AFM connector, and i've still got a huge missfire, in fact i've proberbly made it worse. This is now really doing my head in, I am desperate to get this to the midlands meet so someone can get a conZult on my Z. It seems all the connections on the coil packs and injectors are loose due to snapped clips, would this have anything to do with it? The main part of the problem was missfiring and struggling to rev by 5000rpm up to 12+ psi, now it's missing on idle and all the way up the rev range. silly question that i've never thought about. I bought my Z in sept and the speedo was converted to MPH its a 300 MPH dash, would the distance on the clock be in MPH too, just having one of thos thic moments :rolleyes:

While im waiting for my broken wheel issue to be decided by my local council. What would be the chances of borrowing ....... Stock: wheels with rubber, discs & calipers !!! Hi guys, Further to my problems with the autobox, I've been advised by the garage repairing it that the cooler is totally blocked. They've tried flushing it out without success. I know there is a known problem with this on imports, but I now have to work out what to do about it. They are offering a replacement cooler fitted for £135 quid (I'm told it's the standard sized item for the UK car.) This is a modification I would have had to do, but is it worth going with this now, or should I try the engine oil cooler upgrade instead? Looking a the z centre site, I see the auto oil uses the old engine oil cooler, whilst the engine oil uses the new cooler when replaced. I…

Does anyone know of a thin, paint-on rubber-to-metal sealant that I can use to seal between the rubber targa seal and the targa itself. Silicone sealant in a tube is just too thick. Thanks John

Anyone got a dat file for Manual 300zx with 18" wheels. I've lost my files and I only have the original which I believe was based on a supra.

:( Need help my car does not idle properly even when warm also when in motion with foot on gas alittle it runs fine but when u hit the laughing pedal it starts to go then shuts down untill u ar running about 5 to 10 mph missfireing also backfireing jurking the car about it also says its at full boost :confused:. Checked all the coils they look and work fine also checked oil and water and all conections what i can see. But i have noticed oil around the hose coming from the turbo outlet whitch i gather is very bad but would this make my car run like this?
