I have 2 Zeds that are 2+2 and are below fair condition (but not rotten), one's an 'auto TT' which is driving 100% and the other a 'manual NA' with a broken timing belt, both donor cars are to make into cheap drift car (project for my midlife crisis lol). I was planning on taking the manual conversion kit and rear sub frame from the NA and put them in the TT, because there's a file of history with the Auto TT, incase i ever want to sell it. There's no history or tax book with the NA, i bought the NA cheap for the manual kit and rear sub frame. These last couple of months i done a lot of research on the amount of work that's required to swap-over everything under bot…

Anyone used this? Lots of Chinese Z32 parts for competitive prices. From what I understand you approach sellers and negotiate a price, ie everything a group but waiting to happen.

So two and a half hours ago whilst I thought I was about to get lucky I hear a loud bang and my alarm going off. Looked outside the window butt nekked and saw a car facing my zx. Quickly got dressed and out and was greated by a group of young lads who said my cars just been hit and the other car sped off. Walked around to the driver side and my heart skipped a beat. The shop across the road has cameras and shows the car driving down and straight into my car. Unfortunately can't read/see the plate. Of the 7 lads not one has managed to get the reg yet saw everything. Ontop of that only one is willing to give a statement who lives down the street from me. The …

So got these at a stupid low price from a friend with 265 tyres all round. Long story but the White ones no one seems to know what they are (were originally on a wide body Supra) and one cracked (they are magnesium wheels so uber light but not overly strong as you can imagine!) So anyways the cracked one was beyond repair, the guy that owned them sold them to a guy with a crazy Scooby, he ordered a Varrstoen one since it looked similar. While it does the Varrstoen had a slightly bigger lip than the rest, and an offset of 22 instead of 20 like the white ones. So he offered them to me with tyres for a whopping £350. So test fitted them, clear everything ( minor …

There was I, going round a roundabout, you know, those large ones where you can set the front wheels and just power round, except this time the car decides to have a 4 wheel aquaplane, rear wheels drifting one way and the front pointing another. Should have seen the look on the face on the woman in her Micra waiting to come on the r/bout who I am now sliding towards... luckily the water runs out and tarmac comes to the rescue, grip returns and I power up my exit.. Ignoring my zed's fueling and boost issues decided to carry on with my winter plans, Trying to decide on the route to go down, now it got a fmic at the moment, but I don't like it it's a cheap one and it doesn't fit particularly well, So trying to decide if it's worth getting a better fmic, like the autobahn88 ones, or considering going back to side mounts, like the idea of the z1 ba intercoolers and the 2.5" pipe work.. Which would people choose? Other planned mods are 3" elbows and front pipes to match the pg exhuast, new boost controller, selin dual intake and a noz map. This is my second zed and is the project, using the na as daily drive at…

Is there an easy way of testing the servo on my clutch? I haven't driven her for a month or so before today and the pedal seemed heavier than I recall. Very heavy in fact. Thanks in advance.

Yesterday saw me head down to Kent to pick up my new Shortie! :D I got on the motorway to come back home about 4pm. At 9pm, I was safely tucked away... on the hard shoulder of the A1(M) near York with a grand total of 1 wheelnut holding my rear passenger wheel on!!! The other 4 studs decided to shear off while I was in the outside lane - there was an almighty bang, the back-end of the car went completely loose so I had no choice but to dive for the shoulder! :( The recovery truck arrived at 11pm and I slowly edged my new tripod onto the flatbed, before we headed off back to mine. Spoke to Mr F this morning and he's ordered me 10 new rear studs, so my new ca…

So I've bought myself a Shortie (more on that later) and I've been doing a couple of bits today. One of those bits was to change the clocks over. I dismantled the dash, did what was needed and then put it all back together again. When I went to turn the lights, nothing happened on the first click (sidelights) and on the second, only the main beam came on! No dash lights, taillights - purely the main beam! I'm guessing there's a short somewhere, but where the hell do I start looking...??

Hi Guys. changed my bulb units on the headlights to HID's, now all seemed okay but now the dark nights are upon us, it appears that one side is brighter (or dimmer) than the other, now any ideas what this could be? bulb, wiring, gravitational pull of the sun..... Any suggestions welcome Rich

Does the flasher unit control the Warning Hazard lights and the indicators, or are the two separator parts from them? I have located my flasher unit which is a 3pin. My Hazard lights are working, but not the indicators. What else do I need to check?
