I've upgraded my clutch line to a short HEL braided item. Should it come down and between the gearbox and starter, or loop over the starter?

Does the flasher unit control the Warning Hazard lights and the indicators, or are the two separator parts from them? I have located my flasher unit which is a 3pin. My Hazard lights are working, but not the indicators. What else do I need to check?

I found these while poking about, I wrongly identified them as prvr solenoids from this picture, because that's basically where they can be found. Here is one of mine They are a 2 stage factory fitted electronic boost controller. We all know the det sensor can initiate safety boost, sometimes it dies and the ecu worries and also enters safety boost. It is the boost solenoids that alow the car to do that. They must just be a 2 position restrictor inside the cylinder that sit between the pressure source and the wastegate (just like any boost control) to set either normal 9psi or safety 7psi. I found my passenger side one had a snapped off vac lin…

I got sent some stock headlights and my remit was to fit a switchback tube light. Not having done a pre 99 insert before i offered up the tube inside here and there and settled on the pattern you see on the video. The customer wanted some extra lights putting in for shows or showing off, at first i thought a subtle simple few 5mm leds round the back but these didn't cut it for brightness so i went for the full smd strip which can actually be seen between the main beam housing and the insert as i've not tried to hide. My usual fitment of 8 metal adjusting cogs were put in, on initial inspection of the 20 plus year old headlights only 3 of the 8 original ones…

Just a general question! Last Sunday coming back from Bromley I went past Parklangley Golf Club! Cars are parked each side & all the way to the top of the road, which has a sharp Left hand turn at the top! I get to the top & going into the bend when a 4x4 comes round the corner!:censored: I braked but not to a dead stop!:scared: Although In my oppinion he was going too fast, it was only his stopping power that stopped us hitting each other.:sweatdrop: So Why did Nissan put such poor brakes on the Z? & I understand why so many want to upgrade them as I do over the winter.

For as long as I can remember I would never trust my brakes in an emergency stop situation. Sat in the car with the engine off I can press the brake pedal a couple of times and it goes hard. Engine running, the same - although if I apply more pressure I can get the pedal to travel to the floor. Driving, the same - I can get the pedal to the floor, the car does brake quite quickly but feel there could be more if the pedal wasn't travelling to the floor so easily. Since having this problem I have changed discs and pads front and rear, changed to braided lines and swapped the master cylinder, and bled numerous times with a the help of an assistant. I am thin…

Hi guys, bit of a re-intro but basically got my Z on Sunday after wanting one for 13 years. Brother had one that i see is kicking about the forums (G356PWT) when i was 7 and now 13 years later i bought one. It pulls strong and is fairly clean. See it's had a boost conrtoller and boost guage (I'm taking a guess at it but holes in the centre console and on top the steering column presuably for hose/wires) but apart from that is totally standard to my knowledge. Anyhoo here is the only photo i have right now, been too busy driving it.

Hi guys, Not looking to give out exact details just yet but due to strange circumstances, my Z has gone missing. I am off course in the process of hunting down the people involved. But putting it up here too hoping I get some luck with it being spotted somewhere. It should be somewhere in the London area. More precisely, HOUNSLOW, SOUTHALL, EALING, UXBRIDGE and ACTON. Pics are attached and it is now a manual. (pics show auto) Incase someone comes across some aftermarket parts, the items should be as follows: - WINGS WEST style front bumper but not fibre glass, ORIGINAL VIPER STYLE CARBON FIBRE BONNET with side pins. It's been painted in the p…

Anyone got any recommendations for the best place to get a Hicas delete kit from? Based on my recent investigations, I think Z Centre's coming up trumps at about £176 delivered. Does anyone know of anywhere that can top that...?

Hi , I have a second amp which I want to install in order to power x 2 rear speakers, the amp currently installed is dedicated to running the single sub, is it correct to take a live feed from the existing amp and connect it straight to the second unit , or is there a more appropriate way of powering the second amp? cheers Sayers

Recently purchased a consult cable which has the consult connector and a usb cable to attach to the laptop. On having a look at my consult port it seems the wiring has been modified, I assume this has to do with the switch that someone installed that allows you to check for ecu error codes if you turn the switch on. I am not sure what wires should be conncted to the consult port but I do think some may be loose, not connected. I purchased the full version of nissan datascan, when I initially hooked it up, it worked, I could see the ecu and also check the engine parameters and all was well. Later I tried to connect again, but since the initial connectio…
