Ive trolled through with the search button and cant find this anywhere. When adjusting your headlights is it 5m from a wall and your beam should be same height as headlights?

Hi, I've put my headlights back in today with chromed inserts and HID units but I've got a couple of problems. 1. They've started getting condensation, any ideas what I can do? 2. There is a difference in brightness between the left and right light, any ideas what would cause this. I've swapped over the ballasts and it's still the same. 3. Not sure if this is normal but with my ignition on and the light switch on first position, I get my side lamps on but alsy my passanger side dipped beam - is that right??? Cheers Vijay

In just got my car back from its first service since i bought it 3 months ago, according to the garage the previous owner had pulled off a vacuum pipe from the clutch (from the servo-assist) and bunged up the end... the garage has un-bunged it & put it back on & the clutch is now much lighter. Now for my question: Any guesses as for what reason the previous owner might have removed it? We can't figure out what improvement it would make? It just makes the clutch feel heavier....

At the risk of being ridiculed... :slap: I have the opportunity of putting on a set of S14a wheels from a mate, as my tyres are almost worn down and I'll probably be in the market for a new set of rims in the new year and this would tide me over. Anyone got any pics so I can see what they look like?! :nelson: Mark

I get asked all the time "why do you advise against the use of 10w-60?". Let's get one thing clear, I supply 10w-60 and recommend it where it is appropriate for the engine or the application but conversly I caution against it's misuse! I have debated this many times on many car forums and I know there are some that do not agree with me however I have never had a reasonable technical explanation why 10w-60 is in fact suitable, it's certainly not mentioned in the handbooks of many modern highly tuned performance cars, with the exception of some Alfa Romeos for "spirited driving" whatever that is meant supposed mean. Explaining this is diffucult so there may…

Well last night it was snowing again, normally i dont mind driving in the snow that much so me and the lover went to the picture to see harry potter :D Now when we came out it seemed that most of the snow etc had gone, however On the a19 i went up to about 60 (roads were fine!!!) Im getting a vabration coming up through my seat  i dont know what this could be, im thinking it could be something to do with the fact that my gear box is dead, does anyone know??? Anyway, i ended up doing quite slow because it seemed the back end was all over the place, i eventually end up doing 20mph or less and the back end still seemed all over the place, at that s…

sounds like a bearing cage has broken and is being ground around the bearings, same sort of noize a crank shaft makes when fooked on a push bike.. grinding away, really loudly. i can feel it and hear it in the car. i have been told it could be the universal joint as its common to go, but im wondering if its the bearing cage in the jacket tube assembly?? that the column runs through as there is a bearing cage at the top of this. advice please guys and can i replace this bearing cage if need be?? cant see anything on courtesy nissan. pics attatched from service manual

I know it's cold at the moment. but my Zed has started to moan at me! There is a nasty creaking sound coming from somewhere and its driving me mad. I'm really hoping this is a known problem and I can track down where it is coming from and get it sorted. The noise is not constant, but it is there about 90% of the time. It doesn't stop or start once you are driving, just sometimes when you get in its there and sometimes its not. It seems to be coming from the front right side of the car. I thought it might have been the suspension, but it seems to be coming from the inside of the car. It is definately at the front of the car, up near the front windscreen. It …

I have a Jap import TT. I have noticed that the oil pressure has read very low ever since I bought the car a couple of months ago. I know that Zeds have a habit of suffering from dodgy senders, but the readings on my car don't seem to fluctuate, they just stay low all the time, which worries me. The stock gauge in my car reads 0-7. On a cold start, the pressure reads just 4 and it only goes down from there. Whilst at traffic lights and warm, it stablizes at about 1. On the motorway it sits at about 3.5, which is the highest it ever reaches apart from when stone cold. I have changed the oil to Mobil 1 fully synthetic and there has been no difference at all. Am I …
