Forgot to post this and I've just remebered about it. Several weeks ago I replaced the shocks and springs all round and had to take the boot area panels out. I found quite a large puddle between the rear wing and the wheel arch (passenger side). It was almost directly below the petrol filler. Could it be leaking in from there an would it be easy (probably not) to find and seal ? CheerZ Paul

Hi guys, My Z is a jap import and it has the right side reverse lights converted to fog. What can I do to change it back to have the origonal 4 reverse lights and still have an inconspicuous (spelling ?) rear fog and is there a procedure. I don't want to add an extra rear fog light under the bumper if you get what I mean. Is ther another way of adding a fog with the standard light arrangement that's already there  CheerZ Paul

reading a previous post about how wear and tear can increase in the autobox by using the alc, i do find with mine just fitted that the gearchanges are a bit violent :smash: dont get me wrong i love it when my foot is mashed to the floor and it flyes through the autobox i love it  but maybe a tad too extreme for everyday driving :x: so my question is this!! is it possible to switch the unit off somehow with a switch wired in somewhere, i know there are loads of wires in the loom but if im not mistaken only 4 go into the alc unit, im sure this can be done any comments fellas

I have blue smoke from the exhaust. Only happens when I am at idle speed Only when the car is heating up, or when it is at operating temp. Car is fine when cold. Only other issue is car takes too long to heat up, but I think that is a thermostat problem. I am thinking along the lines of valve stem oil seals or piston rings Any ideas much appreciated. But please - don't suggest credit cards at the ready or anything to do with getting a bank loan

ok, looking for some feedback from members with coilovers......who has what make/model fitted, how do they compare for ride and handling on various settings compared to stock....etc Im concerned about ride quality. I expect and welcome a firm ride, but I dont want a "crashy", "rough", "harsh" ride. Dont want to feel and hear every little road imperfection as it bangs and rattles the interior trim.

Only 4 weeks into Zed ownership and I've met another AA man and travelled another journey in a low loader :( When trying to start the car, there was lots of loud and rapid ticking and flashing antics from the indicators and alarm system. Diagnosis, flat battery (phew!). Unfortunately, although the car started with some assistance from a booster battery, the battery still showed 11V while running (should have been 14.5). The alternator warning light isn't but it's definately not charging properly. I've looked at the wiring diagram in the service manual and it seems that the connection to the warning light is seperate from the connection to the battery (w…

I've commenced my interior panel retrim and have done all the smaller parts, now for the door cards and the two rear seat panels. Here comes the problem. Should I remove the tweed and the foam or just the tweed. I have tried a hairdryer but the foam seems to want to come off with the tweed. I am thinking of just pulling it all off and then finding some way to remove the last bits of stubborn foam.

My targa tops are slighty chipped, the plastic end pieces, closest to the rear of the car, but part of the targa. Are the plastic bits available on their own? Thanks Barry

I have seen a few pics of members cars when their handbrake is on and they all sit at various angles. I have been advised that 6 clicks should be heard while applying the hand brake. I am going to adjust my hand brake as I am un happy about how high I need to pull it up before its on properly. Thanks in advance. ;)
