General Discussions - 300ZX Related

Just got some nice RAZO Pedels off EBAY with all the fitments etc, does any one know where I can down load a set of insturctions to put all the clips on the back of them as they don't have to be drilled into the original pedels on the Z like most after market ones, the just slide over apperently??? :confused: Thanks, Jon ;)

It's not one of my problems but I saw my friend and the garage today who's got a J-Spec 300ZXTT in there that used to be an auto and it's just had a manual conversion done to it... The conversion was done at another garage and was bought into my friends cause it's got bad vibrations and running probs, ie very lumpy and not smooth... If it's still running the Auto ECU what effect would that have on a manual conversion and also are the Diffs and other running gear the same as a manual??? :confused: Thanks to anyone who can help!!!

Hi does any1 know a link about safety boost or tell me the basics about it: like - what sort of problems can put your car into safety boost and to get it out of safety boost is it simply a case of fixing any problems it has and it automatically comes out safety? + if you had a twin turbo is really really noticeable if its in safety boost? :headvswal

right guys just need some help with a engine proplem when you turn the engine over the cam belt+ cams dont move??? the car has just been bought by myself knowing this problem but got told the cams had gone??? but i dont think they have. this was the imformation from the rac who looked at the car a while back when it broke down with the last owner?? is there somthing else that can stop the movement of the cams + belt

I am the new owner of a 92 SWB TT manual. When hot the oil pressure is around 2 bar tickover and 4 ish normal driving. The car has only done 50K and appears to be in good nick. The 4bar (60psi) seems plenty but the guage looks like it should be more. What's normal for these engines.

Finally got my 90 red zed started. I have the rad out, the fan off, and i seem to be missing the 17mm(19mm) alternator thru bolt, and it seems to have frayed the fanbelt on its way out too. Is this why i have belt squeel?

there was a company selling exchange ECU's from mild to wild, for about £170 if i remember right, were they a trader on here? i cant find them now i want one :( any help?

All the way down there, not a thing! Got to the hotel, showered and changed and headed out to the church. And there it was! Parked at the side of the road. Black with weird rear arches. Was it you?

Just had my first test drive in 300zx TT last week and the clutch seemed a bit heavy is this normal for a Z?

I've seen a few cars on here where the 99 spec front has a mesh set into the air intakes/holes . it doesn't come with the bumper. Where can I get it please? Cheers.

I was in a black 300zx

I started my car and the power light was blinking. Took it for a run down the road and stomped it and the power light came on again this time not blinking. Before this I have experience heavy stering and the speedo not working. I have cut the car off and restarted it and the stering has been fine and the speedo started working. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Konrad

hi i have had my black twin turbo manual for about 4months now and i just need some answers to a few questions,can you plz help: -I see many people have an engine rebuild, my car has done 125 thousand miles(i no thats alot), but when will i need to replace the engine, and how will i know when? -i think my turbos are running fine but how do i make sure that both turbos are working, what are the signs, how do i test them? -is it possible for one turbo to be working and the other not working at all? plz help me as i am going out my mind with paranoia!!!!!!!!!!! :headvswal :headvswal :headvswal

I have a nice mountney steering wheel from my old car. I want to fit it in my Z32 import but am tearing my hair out trying to find a boss kit. :headvswal I have found numerous places that sell kits for the 300zx 84-90 models. Is this kit going to fit? Does anyone know if the z31 and z32 are the same fitment configuration?

Can anyone tell me what this is likely to be - sometimes when I start up i get an awful sceeching sound, but it stops when I turn the air conditioning off. No other symptoms and it runs prefectly otherwise. Sound familiar to anyone? Is there a quick cure? :confused:

Just gonna nip out and get a set or single crows foot spanner to remove my left bank 02 sensor. Im sure its 22mm I need but someone stated 27mm?? Is it best to buy the spanner (which size) or buy a deep socket and try and cut it to get the cable through? Cheers
