I need some help !!! decided (after a couple scares in past week due to ice) to put ma 300zx in the garage for the winter (and hopefully leave it till the good weather comes back) however keep hearing different opinions. Some people have told me put a cover over it, disconnect battery+fuel pump and leave it. Other people say that doing the above is bad for it, and i should keep battery connected and just go and run it for 10 mins once a week. Does anyone else put theres off the road during winter and if so what do you advise? Thanks :headvswal

I have today picked up a N/A gearbox to replace my TT box, now the bellhousing has to be swoped over to accomadate the larger tt flywheel. Also the N/A speed sensor has to be swoped over as the signal pulse of a N/A sensor is different to allow for the different ratios of the diff. Today I took the N/A sensor out of the N/A box only to find that the diameter of the pinnion gear is not the same as the TT version, so working on logic I will have to use a TT sensor but with a N/A pinnion gear. But if the diameter of the pinnion gear is different so must the drive gear in the box, is this going to give a faulse reading on the speddo head Food for thought …

Hi All, A lot of you have probably read my previous thread about the encounter I had with a foreign body on the A14. Fortunately not too much damage done: just need a new wheel a tyre for the back on the drivers side. However, after this my ABS light came on as I also mentioned. At the time I thought this was probably related, but it actually turns out that it was just the ABS pump relay that had stuck in the on position (initially we had thought this was the fuel pump)... so the pump just kept going and flattened the battery overnight. Nice. Well I need to take the car to the garage for the damage assessment, so I get out my jump leads, knock on my neig…

Hi all, I've just recharged the battery in me ZX and taken it for a spank down the road. I hardly use it these days and the Cat warning light came on when booting down a dual carriage way. The car feels like it's holding back so I guess it needs a good drive and a service. Is there any precautions I can take to stop it doing this? I just don't get the time to use it nowadays and am holding it for a sale to a friend. Perhaps new plugs or something? Thanks in advance. Ice

Please excuse the long thread title. Wanting to fit very high power bulbs for my high level brake light. Now I've got the perspex panel and the 6 (I think it's 6) bulbs behind that. Thing is, they are so faint. Been told they are 13w and high power bulbs could not be fitted. So what I was thinking, is there a way of fitting a small step up transformer inline to the input so I can run high power bulbs? Ta
