Hello all! I've had my Zed for 5 months now and I want to get it serviced and thouroughly checked over by people who really know what they're doing before I do any serious 'tarting up'. It's had a 60k service last year with a new cam belt, but I'd like a full service doing with a check on the auto box and some diagnostics to look at my slightly limp boost  I'm willing to travel a fair way (100 miles or so I guess), and I'd like to hear any recommendations of places in my area! I've seen that the Zen Garage is in Putney, so that might be an option.... Any suggestions? Cheers, Christian

  9. Further to my post regarding engine blow up on M6 (ran with no water until stopped). There is No compression at all on any cylinder, my question is can the heads be removed with the engine in situ or does the engine have to be removed? If it can be done in situ are there any instructions? Also if needed do you know of any good cylinder heads at a good price? Thanks......................

Hi, I have found a nice looking Twin T on Autotrader based in Windsor. As Windsor is nearly 100 miles from me and I know sweet fa about the mechanics of any car is there anybody based there that knows Z's and would be willing to either take a look for me or come with me to take a look? I know it's a big ask but I travelled some distance this weekend to view a pile of shite. Also - the car in question has no service records because it is an 'import'? Is this common or should they come with some info? Regards, G

I have previously been considering buying a manual Zed but after being taken for a spin in Z man's car at the weekend i am coming round to the idea of owning my first automatic. It seems like the auto box has a number of settings, could someone try to explain to me the different functions and how they actually work and what impact this has. Are there any manual purists out there who can tempt me back...?

Took my tt in to a long established local Nissan dealer on Sat morning for an oil change, didn't get it back until 12.30 when they were closing. I noticed later when I got home, that they had damaged my front bumper, it had been damaged repaired before I got the car, but looked quite good still. I was going to get a different bumper/bodykit etc when funds allow. Now it looks awful, there is a big chunk of the surface missing and you can see the orangy white stuff underneath (it looks bit of a mess), which I was hoping to avoid before I got new stuff. What could I do about it, won't they just say the bumper had been damaged before and was weak in that spot? I expect they c…

I've managed to over-tighten the rad bleed screw valve thingy and shear off the top. :( :slap: How the hell do I get the bottom bit out?! Obviously I don't want to do anything which would risk shedding debris into the coolant. The only thing I can think of is gluing a stick of some sort to the top and using that to twist it out. But knowing my luck I'll just glue the valve thread! Or maybe carefully cutting the top with a sharp knife, then twisting out with a screw-driver? Bright ideas greatfully appreciated! :) Cheers, Mark
