July 31, 200620 yr I recall reading on here a while ago that some pipes are common to go pourous on these cars and cause fuel leaks. mine stinks like hell when i start her up - where should i be looking - what is likely to be leaking?
July 31, 200620 yr follow the pipes from the filter to the plenum/balance bar. Also check the the 2" hose underneath the throttle cover at the front of the plenum. Smithy sells a Replacemednt Braided fuel line kit : http://www.smithys-place.co.uk/engenh.php

All pipes are easily accessable, just need to remove old ones and fit new ones. Need to release fuel pressure first (pull fuel pump fuse, undo petrol cap and turn the car over for a few seconds).
