hello , iam new to this car looking at buying one what things should i look out for, ie standard problems, and whats all this 2=2 stuff ? anyone help a 300zx virgin

Just got my zed back from having the rear sill welded and need to get on and underseal the car. im going to go for waxoyl, Im expecting a dirty job but after bit of advice really. Guessing the old underseal can stay on the car as long as its clean and just add a new layer ontop? Guessing waxoyl can be applyed to most of the underside of the car? anywhere to avoid (drain holes etc...suspension components..) Also, guessing it can just be brushed on with a paint brush?

Can anyone let me know where I can find a clean reliable low mileage twin turbo engine. I've been on to API who have engines for the 300 but he says he has no premier ones, his are all under 50 k miles but I would like an engine with 30k max?? anyone know where else i can ask??

Looking at picking up some Eibach springs from Smithy. Only want to lower the car a little and stiffen it up a bit........ Are these the best to go for? Ta

Last week I went through a deep patch of water, car cut out but then started again with a loud knocking/rattling. Oil pressure etc is fine, any suggestions on what it could be? Bottom end was rebuilt i Feb so don't think it could be that.

hello i am from Europe but i moved to USA and i want to buy a 300zx and i found this very nice one it is $12,500 it looks nice and has very low miles the specs are: 1990 300zx tt Price: $12,500 Body Style: Hatchback Mileage: 55,000 Transmission: Manual VIN JN1CZ24A8LX001445 i checke don kelly blue book and according to them this car is only around $5,000 now should i break ti down to him $5,000 or what? it does look liek it has a few extras but that doesnt mean a few extra tohusand dollars it doesnt say that it has anything special other then "530 JWT TTurbo" i do not know whats so special aobut it, is that a cusotm turbo or the stoc…

Just wanted to know why jet migtips cause boost spikes ?? as im using jets mig tips normally boost on aftermarket gauge has always been steady 15psi max all of sudden gauge was reading 20/22psi :eek:changed jets from 0.8mm to 1.0mm hasnt made much difference, so have been driving safely with optimax until i get ebc fitted

Hey Folks, I noticed after a little reading that there are a few People on this Forum from the Newport area of South Wales, I was just wondering if someone can point me in the direction of a decent garage so i can get me Zed checked over. I am new to the world of the Zed and only purchased mine a month ago, not long after purchasing it one of the RAD pipes went and there was alot of water and alot of steam, from what I can see (800 miles later) there doesnt appear to be any lasting damage but i still would like to be on the safe side. If braking from speed, my steering wheels sometiems shakes. Its not disc warp. Prob some bushes, but which ones?

What is the correct qty of oil to refill the Z from complete empty including torque converter.? And in my manual its lists dextron fluid. I believe ATF3 and ATF4 are the same or better ?? Mines a jap spec Auto 1992 Twin Turbo Any help please !! :)

When i come to a stop my brakes make a nocking noise and if your sat still and press the pedal they creek like mad and also clunck when you go backwards. any help and advice will be much apprieciated :)

Can the standard Nissan master cylinder pump enough fluid for the size of the R34 calipers all round? Im taking it they are bigger than standard calipers. Just that I can get the pedal to hit the floor. Now theres no way I use it down that far, I would head but the steering wheel, but its not right to be able to hit the floor. Just changed fluid, pumped 2 litres through, no air that I can find. Pedal feels the same now as it did when I got the car, even after changing fluid.

pls help does any1 know where i can get my jic coilovers repaired because after hitting a large pot hole the other day i think ive busted a seal on the rear driverside there is oil everywhere and the z bounces all over the shop.i have been told u can buy a repair kit???

It would seem that my little hairdryers are on there merry way oot! any advice on what turbos to replace them with would be greatly appreciated... i want to keep the internals stock so no rolls royce jet engine upgrades! though i would like to boost a wee bit more than standard!

Guys .......and girls of course :) it seems i have lost the 12v constant feed to the stereo , time clock, air conditioning temp control etc etc ...its a pain in the arris having to go through all the tracks on the CD to find where i was and to have to reset the AC every time i start it up ...anybody have an idea which fuse is the main 12v supply for these items .......have checked the ones in the drivers foot well but they are all fine .....stumped now and dontwant to go running leads through the bulk head if i can help it ... any help greatly appreciated as always Steve :bow:

my Z just doesnt seem as fast as it should be!!!!! :( since the decat and 3" exhaust was put on the Z is more responsive and sounds great, but when i turn the boost controller on it just dosent have the same mad push in the back that it used to have, the boost gauge it saying that its boosting up to 14 psi. :headvswal any ideas? boost controller is HKS EVC 1
